Let's take a look at the college football odds for UCF vs. Texas Tech to find a pick for Saturday's Big 12 college football game.

The Big 12 has given us a weekly dose of fireworks, and we may be in for some more as the UCF Knights take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Texas Tech being favored in this matchup is a credit to just how far these teams have come this season, but is there an angle that has more value?

UCF Knights

The Knights boast a prolific rushing attack. They're third in the nation in yards per rush, and while many credit the legs of John Rhys Plumlee, we know the man who can put this offense on his back is RJ Harvey.

Harvey has had a tremendous season as he's already rushed for over 1,000 yards and averages 6.4 yards per carry. He and Plumlee should be able to keep the chains moving on the ground.

The Red Raiders are middle of the pack in terms of yards per rush but are going to be at a disadvantage in the trenches in this matchup.

After all this, Texas Tech will still have to account for Plumlee through the air. He's gotten more efficient as he's gotten healthier. For a secondary that ranks 83rd in opponent completion percentage and 76th in PFF's coverage grading, the Knights appear to be too much.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

As for the Red Raiders, they have deployed a very balanced attack this season, but it's clear where they'll find success in this matchup.

For all the rushing prowess the Knights display on offense, they haven't shown much in terms of being able to stop the run on defense. UCF is 116th in yards per rush allowed.

The Red Raiders' offensive line is going to have a field day as they outrank the Knights 28 to 114 in Line Yards. That means that Tahj Brooks, a 1,000-yard rusher in his own right, will have plenty of gaps to run through.

Betting Pick & Prediction

We've gone over how each offense is primed for success in this game, but what makes the total so viable is the tempo we'll see. The Red Raiders are one of the fastest teams in the country in terms of seconds per play, and UCF isn't far behind.

There will be loads of plays run, and if each team finds success, there will be plenty of points on the board.

Pick: Over 59.5 (Play to 61.5)
