The NFL Divisional Round is halfway over, with the Jaguars and Chiefs having kicked things off Saturday in a game with plenty of top plays and highlights. Ultimately, Kansas City held on 27-20 to advance to the AFC Championship.

Between Patrick Mahomes, Trevor Lawrence, a pair of star-studded offenses and incredible defenses, this game delivered plenty of fireworks — even with the Chiefs being nearly 10-point favorites in a game with an over/under of 52.

On that note: the Jaguars covered as 9.5-point underdogs thanks to a last-minute field goal, and the Chiefs won as -450 favorites (with the Jaguars closing as long as +425 on the moneyline). The under also cashed as the game finished with 47 total points.

Here are the NFL top plays and Jaguars vs Chiefs highlights from the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs — and how each one affected bettors.

This is why sports betting is so amazing. A field goal with 30 seconds remaining that otherwise didn't end up mattering meant everything to bettors, as it ensured a backdoor Jaguars cover on +9.5, +8.5 and even any +7.5s anyone might have had.

Jaguars backers had a little bit of hope despite the fumble below after Jacksonville forced a punt.

But Jaylen Watson had other things in mind with his absurd, one-handed interception, locking up a Chiefs win and nearly getting Kansas City backers a cover.

Even before the above pick, the Jaguars looked prime to pull within striking distance of an outright upset as +400 underdogs. But a Jacksonville fumble in the red zone all but squashed the Jaguars' hopes.

Earlier in the night, Mahomes pulled off a nifty jump pass before he got injured. In the fourth quarter, he one-upped himself, throwing a jump pass on one leg for a touchdown, as Marquez Valdes-Scantling cashed as a +290 anytime TD scorer.

Travis Kelce's total receptions prop was 6.5 against the Jaguars on Saturday. With his 14th catch ([), the Kansas City star set a record for most receptions by a tight end in NFL postseason history.

Isiah Pacheco went over his rushing total of 50.5 with this 40-yard run that set up Travis Kelce's second TD of the game, giving the Chiefs a 17-7 lead as Chad Henne marched Kansas City down the field on a 98-yard drive.

Kelce was +400 to score multiple TDs against the Jags, and his second score pushed the Chiefs to -7.5 and roughly -450 on the moneyline.

Mahomes Gets Hurt

It certainly was not a "highlight," but it was undoubtedly one of the most important plays of the game.

After having his right leg caught between defenders and hobbling for several plays, Mahomes had his ankle taped during the break between the first and second quarters.

The live Jaguars moneyline was +235 when Mahomes was first hurt and quickly plummeted to as low as +150 at certain books before the Chiefs managed a field goal to end the drive and take a 10-7 lead.

At that point, Kansas City was 5.5-point favorite and -260 on the moneyline, with the Jags just short of +200.

At the end of the subsequent Jacksonville drive (which ended in a punt), Mahomes went to the locker room, with Chiefs backup QB Chad Henne taking the field for Kansas City.

The Chiefs were 3.5 point favorites and -200 on the moneyline before that Henne-led drive, with the Jaguars around +150. Mahomes returned in the second half, as discussed above.

No matter whether you got him at +190, +195, +200 or any other price right around that latter consensus line, Christian Kirk found the end zone for the second score of the game and cashed in for anytime TD backers.

Of course, if you've been following our "Touchdown Show" during the NFL playoffs, you're probably among the Kirk backers.

— Action Network (@ActionNetworkHQ) January 21, 2023

Travis Kelce hauled in four catches on the opening Chiefs drive, including the first touchdown of the game.

He was -120 to score an anytime touchdown and as long as +600 to score the first TD, tied with Jerick McKinnon for the shortest first TD odds. He was also more than halfway to his total receptions prop of 6.5 already with those four receptions on the drive (and ended up easily clearing that number by midway through the second quarter en route to a historic night).

Before his ankle injury, Mahomes threw an absolute dart while hanging in mid-air, twisting his legs as if he were Michael Jordan.

With throws like that, bettors who took the over on Mahomes passing yardage total (which was 309.5 pregame at most shops) had to have been feeling pretty decent … before that injury threw everything up in the air.

At DraftKings, however, bettors were in luck, as the sportsbook refunded all Mahomes single bets placed pregame or live before the injury.
