NFL Playoffs Player Prop | Texans vs Ravens
In his third professional season, Bateman was knocked down the pecking order of Ravens pass catchers with the addition of rookie Zay Flowers and free agent signing Odell Beckham Jr.
Bateman finished the season fifth in receptions for Baltimore. His average depth of target was 14.7 yards, but that didn’t lead to much production.
In fact, Bateman only hauled in one of his 13 targets that traveled at least 20 yards down field. Flowers, Beckham and even Nelson Agholor have been more efficient catching their deep targets.
In total, Bateman stayed under this line in 11 of his 16 games played this season. Today, he’s likely to rotate snaps with Beckham and Agholor, both behind Flowers, who has established himself as a near every-down player, when healthy.
Today’s weather will be cold and windy in Baltimore – not prohibitive to deep passing, but coupled with an expected positive game script, we might not see as much downfield throwing from Jackson today.
I have Bateman’s longest reception projected at 12 yards. I’d play this one down to under 14.5.
