The highest rated American on the women's side (Coco Gauff) looks to continue her path to a second straight French Open title as she faces Anastasia Potapova in the third round.
Potapova is seeded 28th in this event and has split her all-time meetings with Gauff, meaning this match will likely be no slouch.

Gauff vs Potapova Preview, Prediction
By: Tudor Cosma
Coco Gauff Betting Preview
Gauff is an exceptional player on clay, performing with immense fluency on this surface. Her forehand looks significantly more secure on dirt, and nobody should be surprised to see the defending champion deep in the final weekend once again — even though her side of the draw is a literal horror story.
Let's not forget that this half of the bracket features the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Amanda Anisimova, Naomi Osaka, Victoria Mboko and Madison Keys.
Still, Gauff has a massive chance. Her primary vulnerability remains her serve; she can surrender her service games a bit too easily, and she's heavily prone to technical lapses on her second serve.
Here in Paris, she racked up five double faults against Taylor Townsend and followed that up with three against Mayar Sherif, despite both matches being relatively short and drama-free.
Anastasia Potapova Betting Preview
Potapova enters the match in great competitive rhythm and will be highly motivated to make a statement.
She's previously recorded marquee victories over top-tier players like Jelena Ostapenko, Karolina Muchova and Elena Rybakina, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary if she manages to snatch a set on Saturday.
In any case, her aggressive return positioning will force Gauff to take extra risks on her second serve. Therefore, I expect Gauff to hit at least 4 double faults; my prediction follows this logic at the odds provided by Betano.
Coco Gauff vs Anastasia Potapova Predictions, Betting Analysis
I expect Gauff to hit at least four double faults on Saturday, thus I really like this prop: Gauff to commit over 3.5 double faults.
Since that isn't currently available at DraftKings and FanDuel (as of writing), I'm targeting Gauff to cover the game spread of -2.5.
Even with Potapova motivated and having a potential advantage if Gauff's serve falls off, the American is still the superior player who won the title here last year.
