Daria Kasatkina is the clear favorite in this match. However, her year has been modest and well below expectations, with Kasatkina running into numerous problems in matches where she seemed to have a clear advantage.
Her serve remains a major vulnerability, and Daria generally commits a high number of double faults. She recently recorded two in a very short victory over Stearns, and right here in the previous round, she racked up 10 double faults against Sonmez, despite the match lasting only two sets.
Susan Bandecchi is making her debut appearance in the main draw of a Grand Slam. Her form looks excellent, as she rides a 4-match winning streak, having defeated Cristina Bucșa in the opening round.
I believe she can put up a strong set today as well and apply plenty of pressure on the return.
Therefore, I expect Daria to commit at least three double faults.
Pick: Kasatkina 3+ Double Faults

Victoria Mboko is an incredible tennis player who fully deserves her place in the WTA Top 10. However, clay remains her weakest surface, one where she still doesn't look entirely comfortable.
She arrived in Paris fresh off a final appearance in Strasbourg—a significant achievement—though she was quite clearly dominated there by Emma Navarro.
Mboko committed six double faults in that match, which, admittedly, was a lengthy affair. In her opening round here, which was a very swift victory over Nikola Bartunkova, she only recorded two.
Nevertheless, I expect today's match to be a much longer battle given the caliber of her opponent.
Katerina Siniakova is highly capable in her own right and is a competitor who fights until the very last ball. She advanced here following a straight-sets victory over Simona Waltert, and today she has the tools to cause plenty of trouble, particularly through her dangerous return game, at least for the duration of a set.
Therefore, I believe Mboko will feel the pressure and commit at least four double faults.
Pick: Mboko 4+ Double Faults
