Pegula vs Fernandez Predictions, Betting Analysis
By: Tudor Cosma
Pegula will show why she's one of the favorites for the title at the US Open and possibly the new world No. 1.
So far, in her first two matches in New York, she hasn't played a weak set, and her serve has been close to perfect.
She's also recorded quite a few aces, showing her strong form on serve. She had four aces against Elena-Gabriela Ruse and five versus Sofia Kenin in short matches.
Meanwhile, Fernandez must be respected because she's a former finalist at the US Open and a player who can always produce surprises.
Her serve isn't that efficient, and she generally serves few aces. She had two aces with Mananchaya Sawangkaew and only one against Naomi Osaka.
I believe that Pegula will serve more aces, and I'm going to take a stab on over 5+ at bet365 (+100) in what could be a longer than expected match against Fernandez.
Pick: Jessica Pegula to Serve 5+ Aces (+100, bet365)
