An American tennis player hasn't won a Grand Slam since Andy Roddick won the US Open back in 2003. But if anyone is going to have a shot at the trophy in 2026, it's likely going to be Taylor Fritz, a veteran and one of the top ranked Americans on tour.
Fritz's run will start with Darwin Blanch, an 18-year-old who's ranked outside the top 240 in the ATP rankings, in the first round.

Fritz vs Blanch Predictions, Betting Analysis
By: Tudor Cosma
While Fritz hasn't always been reliable in majors — especially here at the US Open — he is likely America's best shot at a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2003.
With Novak Djokovic and Janni Sinner out and Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton on the other half of the draw, Fritz has a reasonable path to the final.
Alexander Zverev is in his path in a hypothetical semifinal, but Fritz has a chance to beat him if they were to collide.
Until then, Fritz will have to get through these first rounds, and he's a massive favorite against Blanch, which is no surprise.
Blanch comes in after seven consecutive defeats and as a player who's outside the top 240 in the world.
He's tall and his serve is efficient, but I don't see how he'll be able to take a set off Fritz.
I think Fritz will be motivated, so I'll take him to win in straight sets at bet365 (-250). Since -250 is steep, if you're interested in a single game parlay, take Fritz to win in straight sets with Blanch to record 5+ aces (parlay at -150 at bet365).
This should be a fairly quick match, but Blanch hit 10 aces against Aleksandar Vukic in a recent straight-set loss, so he's plenty capable.
If you're really looking for a home run swing, take Fritz to win in straight sets with Blanch to hit 10+ aces (+220 parlay) or just Blanch to hit 10+ aces (-120).
Pick: Taylor Fritz to Win in Straight Sets (-250, bet365) OR Same Game Parlay at -150
