Completely disagree with the Oregon money here. Gonna buy this back above 10. USC was getting this same number at ND in a game where they still covered in despite turning the ball over 3 times. That’s with market inflation of Riley being bad outside the west coast as well. Have ND graded above Oregon and on the surface not the best matchup in the world but think Oregon has benefited from schedule a bit in terms of passing defense numbers. However Oregon’s pass rush is not elite by any means, being graded out in the bottom half of the Big Ten, and that’s how u beat Maiava(133.1 Passer Rating when Clean compared to just a 42.8 when pressured). Don’t think Oregon will be able to exploit Maiava crumbling under pressure enough. Had this spot circled as this is USC’s Super Bowl with 2 losses. Also fwiw lookahead at FD just a week ago was sitting at Oregon -6.5, i know that market isn’t as efficient but this line going up to 10.5 for basically no reason is just too much love to an Oregon team that has underwhelmed us in all 3 big games they’ve played

USC Trojans Football

USC had another mediocre season in 2024, with a 7-6 record, despite the team playing in a new conference. The team simply has not seen the same success since the departure of quarterback Caleb Williams, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. This is coach Lincoln Riley's fourth season with the team, and the goal remains to make the CFP Playoffs. There is some solid talent on the team currently, with Elijah Paige notably getting a Freshman All-America selection in the 2024 season. That is bound to give fans some hope.

There are certainly some questions surrounding the Trojans, but if you're a believer, there are plenty of college football futures markets worth looking into. If you're simply curious how we think the Trojans stack up, check out our college football power ratings.

Betting on the USC Trojans

USC Spreads

Spread bets depend on the winning margin, as favored teams have to win by more than bookmakers' expectations to pay off for their bettors.

For example, a Trojans spread might read:

  • UCLA +3.5 (-110)
  • USC -3.5 (-110)

If the favored Trojans win 41-38, that doesn’t get it done. They cover only when they win by four or more points, while the underdog UCLA Bruins just have to lose by three or fewer points, or win the game outright, to win this type of bet.

FAQ: Everything you need to know about point spreads

USC Over/Unders

Over/unders, or totals, are bets on the total points scored during a game, and oddsmakers set the line based on how many points they expect. The Trojans' game against Oregon could have a total set at 65 points. With a final score of 31-21, under bettors win. With this type of bet, it doesn’t matter who wins — all that counts is the points.

USC Moneylines

If you’re confident in the Trojans to win the game, but aren’t sure by how much, moneyline bets make things easy. Moneylines are just bets on the outright winner of the game. It doesn’t matter if it’s a nail-biter or a blowout.

The odds are a little tricky to read, but a $100 unit helps simplify things. Favorites always have a minus sign in front of their odds, with the number following representing how much you have to risk for the chance to earn $100.

That means a $150 bet on the Trojans at -150 pays out $100 if they win. On the flip side, odds with a plus sign (underdogs) show how much a $100 wager pays. So the Trojans at +150 pays out $150 with $100 risked.

FAQ: How to bet on the moneyline

USC Props

Another popular bet you can make on the Trojans — or in this case, any Trojan — is a player prop.

Player props are bets on the stat line of a player at the end of the game. Some Trojans player props you might find on Saturdays include a receiver to go over or under a set number of receptions, a running back to find the end zone and many more. If you enjoy fantasy football, you're likely also to enjoy looking into player props.

FAQ: Here’s how prop betting works

USC Futures

Futures are relatively similar to prop bets in the way both are monitored over the course of a season. Most futures bets focus on outcomes that can happen at the end of the season:

  • USC odds to win the Big Ten
  • USC odds to reach the College Football Playoff
  • USC odds to win the College Football Playoff

If you think USC can reach College Football Playoff or even win the CFP championship, then bet on one of the futures above. This bet type is simply you betting on whether something happens later or at the end of a season. For a full list of college football futures, click or tap here.
