Last weekend we saw two of the top lightweights in the world clash in an epic unification bout. This weekend, another lightweight champion will be in action when Gervonta Davis (23-0, 22 KO) will face junior lightweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1, 19 KO) at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
While the fight will be contested at 130 pounds (jr. lightweight division) both belts will be on the line. Davis was a two-belt champion at junior lightweight before he moved up to 135 pounds last year. Santa Cruz, a star in his own right, has won belts in four different weight classes in his career and can gain a fifth with a win this weekend.
