The FedEx Cup Playoffs wrap up this week the ultimate prize on the line.

The 30 players remaining are set to battle it out at the Tour Championship with $18 million on the line.

The Tour Championship can be a difficult tournament to bet as the format rewards season-long play. The top players on the FedEx Cup points list are rewarded by starting with strokes.

Scottie Scheffler, as the points leader, will start at 10-under par. Viktor Hovland is at 8-under par, Rory McIlroy is at -7, Jon Rahm's at -6 and so on. Bettors can place bets on "bonus strokes applied" and "no bonus strokes applied" at BetMGM.

Scheffler is a +140 favorite with strokes applied and a +550 favorite with no strokes applied. He is getting 9% of the bets and accounts for 24.4% of the handle for the strokes applied market at BetMGM.

Hovland is the most popular bet in the strokes applied market as he's getting 10.1% of the tickets and accounts for 18.9% of the handle to win the Tour Championship.

Jordan Spieth is the biggest liability in the strokes applied market. He opened at +30000 and is now +25000 after garnering 4% of the bets and 1.8% of the tickets. He'll start at even par and 10 strokes behind Scheffler.

Rahm appears to be the sharp play this week. He is getting 6.5% of the bets and accounts for 9.2% of the handle. He's +800 to win the Tour Championship.

McIlroy and Max Homa are two of the other popular bets to win the Tour Championship. Xander Schauffele, who has great course history at East Lake, is the most popular bet in the no-strokes applied market.
