Cubs vs Cardinals Preview
Monday night features a divisional battle between the Cubs and Cardinals, and we’re backing Matthew Liberatore to record at least four strikeouts.
The Cardinals' starter has hit this number in 12 of 14 outings this season — and in seven of his last eight.
While he’s not a prototypical strikeout pitcher, he has enough in his arsenal to get the job done.
With the line set fairly low, we love this spot for Liberatore to go over 3.5 strikeouts.
We’re also backing the Cubs to come away with the win tonight.
The NL Central remains a tight race between the Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals and even the Reds. This series is a must-win for Chicago as it aims to head into the All-Star break at the top of the division.
With offensive firepower of Kyle Tucker, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Seiya Suzuki and Ian Happ, we don’t see many problems for the Cubs in this matchup.
