Tigers vs Twins Preview
The Twins money line offers a modest edge here. I project the line closer to -135, but since you can currently find it at -120, I would take that up to -125.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any value on the first-five line; otherwise, I would be happy to simply back Joe Ryan against Casey Mize for the first five innings. However, that sits at -135, which aligns exactly with my projections.
Ryan certainly holds the advantage over Mize, with a 3.75 projection compared to Mize’s 4.1, putting Ryan a full tier ahead.
Regarding the offenses, while Minnesota still has the roster they started the season with, the two lineups are not drastically different.
The most unusual discrepancy between these teams is that the Tigers project as one of my worst base-running teams. It is a bit counterintuitive when you look at their lineup—Parker Meadows runs really well and Riley Greene runs decently—but the metrics aren't there.

Tigers vs Twins Picks
The play feels like a bit of a contradiction, primarily because I lack confidence in betting against a Tigers team projected to win the division while simultaneously backing a Twins team whose season win total I have the under on.
That said, for today specifically, I make the Twins closer to -135. Therefore, anything -125 or better on the Minnesota money line is a viable wager.
It isn't one of my favorite plays on the board, but there is certainly a mathematical edge.
Pick: Twins Moneyline (-120)
