Royals vs Braves Preview

This game triggered one of our Action PRO betting systems, powered by Evan Abrams.

This system fades elite teams (60%+ win rate) when public money is heavily skewed against the underdog (less than 35% backing).

It targets road underdogs on minor losing streaks (one to three games) in regular-season spots.

The idea is that betting markets often overprice good teams, especially at home, creating value on contrarian visitors.

Despite a low win rate, big plus-money payouts generate positive ROI.

Royals vs Braves Picks

The Braves took the first game of this series, but that was with Chris Sale on the mound.

Overall, I'm exceedingly low on the Braves and believe they'll underachieve this season.

Part of the reason for that is Spencer Strider's injury, which has kept him out of the rotation while throwing Reynaldo Lopez in as the No. 2 starter. But also, Atlanta's roster is fairly top-heavy and lacks depth, so the Braves are another injury or two away from falling apart.

Meanwhile, the Royals are an up-and-coming squad with plenty of power in the lineup. I believe they're the clear second-best team in the AL Central and should fight for a Wild-Card spot this season.

Ultimately, I'm willing to bank on my long-term outlook for both these squads in this showdown — I'm high on the Royals, and low on the Braves. It's nice that our PRO betting system has picked up on the potential mis-pricing.

Pick: Royals ML (+120 or Better)
