Chris Prince's Angels vs Athletics Prediction, Betting Analysis
While Mike Trout may be on the back nine of his career, he still has some pop in his bat, and I really like this spot under these elite hitting conditions in Sacramento.
We have temperatures expected to be around 90 degrees with some wind blowing out to left field as well.
Trout has always hit RHP well over his career, and he has solid numbers this season as well, including a .368 wOBA and .239 ISO despite a BABIP of just .283.
He should see a good dose of four-seam fastballs from A's starter Jack Perkins, and Trout has been mashing that pitch from righties this season, with a .414 wOBA and a big .310 ISO.
Perkins has a low 17.6% strikeout rate against righties, and while his surface numbers look good, he's been very fortunate, with just a .200 BABIP allowed to righties.
So yes, I'm betting on one of the best hitters of our generation in elite hitting conditions against an average right-handed pitcher. Give me the Over 1.5 total bases on the Angels star.
Pick: Mike Trout Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100, DraftKings)
