Brit Devine’s Twins vs Rays Preview
Although they have some injuries in the lineup, I make the Twins considerable favorites over the Rays.
The Twins have the clear starting pitching advantage with Joe Ryan taking on Taj Bradley. Ryan has allowed one earned run or fewer in seven of his 10 starts, while Bradley has allowed at least two earned runs in nine of his 10.
I also view Minnesota’s lineup as the superior one, even when shorthanded.
Plus, although the Rays aren’t awful in relief, the Twins arguably have the best bullpen in baseball and a late-inning advantage over most teams they face.
Typically, these teams with advantages in all three phases are priced around -150 on the ML, yet the Twins are just -125 on Tuesday.
I’d play Minnesota on the ML at -140 or better.
