MLB Home Run Picks for August 24

Header First Logo

Vinnie Pasquantino (+400)

at Tigers (SP: RHP Jack Flaherty)

Header Trailing Logo

Pasquatch has been on an absolute tear recently, with five bombs in the last six games, and while he didn't get one yesterday, he did have two barrels.

The matchup vs. Jack Flaherty is a plus one for lefty power, with the Tigers starter owning a 1.53 HR/9 on the season.

I have the true odds over 100 points lower for Vinnie.

Colson Montgomery +440)

vs Twins (SP: RHP Taj Bradley)

Header Trailing Logo

Colson Montgomery has been one of the best home run hitters in the league since coming up, with 12 bombs in 41 games.

The Twins' Taj Bradley has been hit hard by lefty power this season, giving up a 1.35 HR/9 on the season.

I have the true odds on Montgomery around +375.

Nick Kurtz (+400)

at Mariners (SP: LHP Logan Gilbert)

Header Trailing Logo

Nick Kurtz gets a tough matchup vs. Logan Gilbert, but the odds are far too good.

The Mariners starter is a slightly below-average matchup for lefty power, and the ballpark is a downgrade, but Kurtz is one of the best power hitters in the league.

I have the true odds on Kurtz around +325.

Brent Rooker (+430)

at Mariners (SP: RHP Logan Gilbert)

Header Trailing Logo

As mentioned, Gilbert has been a difficult overall matchup this season, but he's struggled heavily with righty power.

He is giving up 1.79 HR/9 on the season to righties, and while he's due for some positive regression, he grades out as a good matchup for righty power.

I have the true odds on Brent Rooker around +350.
