MLB Home Run Picks for May 22

Header First Logo

Jose Ramirez (+550)

vs. Tigers (SP: RHP Jack Flaherty)

Header Trailing Logo

Jose Ramirez is among the best power hitters in baseball, and Thursday’s matchup is excellent.

Tigers starting pitcher Jack Flaherty has been crushed by left-handed power hitters this season (2.57 home runs per nine innings pitched allowed to the side).

The weather will probably be cold, but the winds should be blowing out at around 12 MPH — the ball will fly fine.

I make the fair odds on this home run prop closer to +450.

Riley Greene (+540)

vs. Guardians (SP: RHP Tanner Bibee)

Header Trailing Logo

Riley Greene has been among baseball’s best power hitters this season, with 12 bombs behind a 17.1% barrel rate.

The matchup against Guardians starter Tanner Bibee isn’t awful, as Bibee has struggled against lefty power this year (2.25 home runs per nine allowed to the side).

The weather report doesn’t look great, with temperatures in the low 50s, but the wind should blow out heavily.

I make the fair odds on this home run prop closer to +440.

CJ Abrams (+560)

vs. Braves (SP: RHP AJ Smith-Shawver)

Header Trailing Logo

CJ Abrams has looked good this year, having already hit eight homers.

The odds for him to hit another one on Thursday are great.

The matchup is good against Braves starting pitcher AJ Smith-Shawver, who has struggled with lefty power in his career (1.66 home runs per nine innings pitched allowed to the side).

The weather should be close to league-average, with temps in the 60s and wind blowing out to right field at about 10 MPH — that’ll help if Abrams pulls a fly ball.

I make the fair odds on this home run prop under +500.
