Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings, BetMGM and Barstool.

This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half-innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.

Our first NRFI selection today features Dylan Cease of the Chicago White Sox. This season, Cease has been impressive, boasting an 18-3 NRFI record with a perfect 10-0 record when pitching at home. Overall, Cease holds a remarkable 26-2 home NRFI record since last season.

Cease has been effective when facing batters the first time through the order, allowing only 35 hits in 172 at-bats, resulting in a .203 average.

The right-hander has held his own throughout his career against Cleveland Guardians hitters, including Jose Ramirez (5-21), Andres Gimenez (4-16), Myles Straw (0-8) and Josh Naylor (5-17). Notably, Andres Gimenez has struggled recently, with only three hits in his last 22 at-bats for a .136 average.

Justin Steele of the Chicago Cubs is our second NRFI selection. This season, Steele has been in remarkable form, with a 14-4 NRFI record and a 6-1 NRFI split on the road. He also has an impressive 34-8 NRFI record since 2022.

When facing batters the first time through the order, Steele has had the upper hand and limited hitters to a .187 average, allowing just 28 hits in 150 at-bats. The southpaw has also had an advantage against St. Louis Cardinals hitters, including Nolan Arenado (4-14), Dylan Carlson (0-10), Paul Goldschmidt (5-16) and Brendan Donovan (1-5).

This custom NRFI bet is priced at -123 on Barstool Sportsbook and -140 on DraftKings.

As always, six outs to glory…
