Today, we'll create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings and Barstool.
This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games.
This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.
Our first selection for today's custom NRFI features Marcus Stroman, the talented pitcher of the Cubs. Stroman has been exceptional this season, boasting a magnificent 17-2 NRFI record, including a perfect 9-0 home NRFI split.
In total, Stroman's NRFI record stands at an impressive 38-4 since 2022.
A significant factor contributing to Stroman's success to the NRFI is his batting order split. This season, he's held teams' leadoff hitters to a .154 average, allowing only eight hits in 52 at-bats.
In previous matchups against the Red Sox, Stroman has been particularly effective, holding Rafael Devers (1-for-8), Alex Verdugo (0-for-3) and Justin Turner (2-for-6) in check.
