We cashed yet another Paul Skenes NRFI yesterday as part of a 2-1 day that returned half a unit.
While there's no free square like that today, I do have one pick today on the smaller slate.
Let's dive into my MLB NRFI and YRFI pick and model predictions.
MLB NRFI, YRFI Pick — June 26, 2025
Tigers vs. A's NRFI/YRFI Prediction
Starting Pitchers: Jeffrey Springs vs. Dietrich Enns
Last night, sportsbooks were operating under the assumption that the Tigers' starter would be Jack Flaherty.
The fact that the total only moved up about half a run when Detroit announced the pivot to Dietrich Enns — a 34-year-old whose last MLB appearance was in 2021 — isn't a great sign for Flaherty, but it does help the YRFI.
Enns getting the start makes this a lefty-on-lefty matchup between two of the top-ten offenses against southpaws in the majors. Much of that is driven by top-of-the-order hitters from both teams.
The A's have Brent Rooker (202 wRC+ against lefties) and Jacob Wilson (181), while Detroit has Gleyber Torres (179), Spencer Torkelson (147), and Jahmai Jones (289 in a tiny sample size).
With Springs also having a 5.60 first time through the order ERA and great hitting weather in Detroit, this is a solid all-around spot with an off-line at FanDuel.
