Tony Sartori's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: LA's Deeper Lineup
By Tony Sartori
At the conclusion of the regular season, Blake Snell ranked in the 82nd percentile or higher in xERA, average exit velocity, barrel rate and hard-hit rate.
That success has carried into the postseason, where the Dodgers starter has been nearly flawless. Through three starts, Snell is a perfect 3-0 with a 0.86 ERA and 0.52 WHIP.
This creates a daunting scenario for 22-year-old rookie Trey Yesavage, who takes the mound for the Blue Jays in Game 1. He faces enormous pressure, starting Toronto’s first World Series appearance in over 30 years against a powerhouse Dodgers club.
There are two reasons to like the Blue Jays in this matchup: they’re playing in front of a passionate home crowd, and they hold a slight bullpen advantage. That said, there are far more reasons to favor Los Angeles.
The Dodgers have more World Series experience, a superior starting pitcher, and a deeper lineup.
If Snell pitches seven or more innings again, he can effectively neutralize Toronto’s bullpen edge and, subsequently, the Blue Jays could be in serious trouble trying to bridge the gap between these two clubs.
Pick: Dodgers ML -155
Sean Zerillo's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: Back Muncy Tonight
By Sean Zerillo
I'm going to lean on the Dodgers' Max Muncy throughout the series, and may continually bet his props to walk, homer, and drive in a runner.
Our Action Labs projection set his Home Run odds at +337 and his RBI line at +191 for Game 1.
Pick: Max Muncy 1+RBI (+195)
PRO's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: Righties Against Snell
By Action PRO
PRO projects Dodgers starter Blake Snell with 5.63 strikeouts tonight, which represents an excellent 12.4% edge against the market.
Although Snell has been lights out in the postseason with 19 strikeouts in the last two games, right-handed batters have better overall numbers against him, and the Blue Jays have quite a few dangerous righties in their lineup, such as Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, Alejandro Kirk, Bo Bichette, and Ernie Clement.
If Snell does not do well early on, he could fall under this line.

Pick: Blake Snell Under 6.5 Strikeouts (-120)
Grant Neiffer's Dodgers vs Blue Jays Best Bet: Hernandez HR Prop
I'm going hard on the Dodgers righties, as the spot is far too good and the odds are far too high.
We don't have a huge sample size of Trey Yesavage in the majors, but with his arm angle and his heavy splitter usage, he grades out as a heavy reverse-splits pitcher who should allow a lot of bombs to righties.
Rogers Centre is an upgrade for righty power, as it's been one of the top ballparks for righty homers this season.
Teoscar Hernandez has some solid pop and has been playing well in the playoffs. I have the true odds here around +450, making this a great bet.
