For my Tuesday MLB player props, I'll be targeting three players, Fernando Tatis Jr., Marcus Semien and Josh Smith.

Additionally, Bryan Woo will look to match a dominant performance from his teammate in game two against the Red Sox.

Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for June 17, 2025.

Considering the talent the Rangers have up and down their lineup, one could say they have underachieved this season, especially compared to their World Series run.

They rank just 26th in runs scored this season.

One reason is because Semien got off to a slow start and enters tonight's hitting just .224 on the year. However, his bat has started to perk up of late.

Over the last 30 days, Semien is hitting .318 with six doubles, four home runs and a .915 OPS. He enters today's game on an eight-game hitting streak. He also has a hit in 11 of his last 13 games, including six multi-hit games in that span.

Meanwhile, his teammate Smith is riding a seven-game hitting streak of his own. Six of those have been multi-hit games and many have come with five plate appearances. It has fueled his hot June, as he's hitting .377 with six doubles, three home runs and a 1.091 OPS.

Neither Semien, nor Smith, have faced Royals right-hander Seth Lugo before. The 35-year-old is coming off a dominant outing against the Yankees, with 5 2/3 shutout innings before a rain delay ended his night.

However, he pitches to contact with just 52 strikeouts in 70 1/3 innings this season. Smith may be in a better spot tonight, as left-handed hitters are hitting .260 off Lugo this season.

However, two singles — whether off Lugo or a Royals reliever — from Semien and Smith will cash this combo.

Red Sox vs Mariners Player Props: Woo Looks to Repeat Masterclass

Bryan Woo Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+130)

Woo is enjoying another strong season, with a 3.39 ERA. He enters this start with 72 strikeouts in 82 1/3 innings. Woo has had at least six strikeouts in seven of 13 starts this season. However, he's gotten to seven just three times thus far.

One of those times was against the Boston Red Sox when he had a season-high eight strikeouts. By now, you likely are aware that the Red Sox lineup no longer features Rafael Devers.

While Devers has a propensity to strike out himself, Boston struck out 12 times in 33 plate appearances in their first game without him last night. Logan Gilbert — fresh off the IL and on a pitch count — had 10 strikeouts in five innings.

Gilbert has a higher strikeout rate than Woo, but Woo has swing-and-miss stuff as well. While Woo's hit rate hasn't been very high this season, tonight I'm targeting the matchup against Boston. It ranks third in strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers this season.

Four of the last six starters they've faced cleared their strikeouts lines against the Red Sox, with three of them going for nine or more.

Woo has worked six innings in all 13 starts this season. If he does so again, seven of those outs may come via strikeouts.

Padres vs Dodgers Player Props: Tatis Looks to Keep Raking in L.A.

After a hot start, Tatis struggled for a month, but he's started to heat up again. That began with last week's series against the Dodgers. Since then, he has a hit in six of his last seven games.

Last night, the crowd at Chavez Ravine was anxious to see Shohei Ohtani's pitching debut as a Dodger. Tatis quieted the crowd with a single into right field. He finished 2-for-4 on the night and now has recorded two hits in each of his last four games.

The Dodgers have not announced a starter for tonight's game and it likely will be another opener. Whoever it is, Tatis will be looking forward to the matchup.

Against the Dodgers, Tatis has 10 doubles, 19 home runs, and 38 runs batted in while slashing .267/.338/.534 in 65 career games. At Dodger Stadium, his batting average increases to .319 in 35 games.

Tatis has recorded two total bases in 11 of his last 20 games against the Dodgers, averaging 2.4 per game. If he has two hits again, that trend will continue. Tatis is +185 for two hits on Fanatics tonight. However, if he has only one tonight, we can still cash his bases with an extra-base hit.
