I will happily grab the Padres as underdogs today. Trey Gibson has not shown any dominant skill set in his first few major league starts, and he posted an 11% walk rate in the minor leagues.
I know this San Diego offense has underwhelmed so far in 2026, but the Orioles have scuffled to a 34-37 record themselves. The Padres have a huge advantage at the back end of the bullpen, and Randy Vasquez rarely gets blown up.
