For my Tuesday MLB player props, I'll be looking into a mix of props for Lane Thomas, Jac Caglianone, Kyle Tucker and Lawrence Butler. Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for the MLB games on Tuesday, June 10.
MLB Player Props for June 10, 2025
- Lane Thomas/Jac Caglianone One Strikeout Parlay (-118, DraftKings)
- Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100, BetMGM)
- Lawrence Butler Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130, BetMGM)
Reds vs Guardians and Yankees vs Royals Player Props: Lane Thomas/Jac Caglianone One Strikeout Parlay (-118)
Last night, Lane Thomas singled and worked two walks through his first three plate appearances. Yet, he finished the game 1-for-3 with two strikeouts. This season, Thomas finishing a game with at least one strikeout seems inevitable as has 24 strikeouts over 67 plate appearances. He has struck out at least 130 times in each of the past three seasons.
Thomas enters this game with two strikeouts in three straight games and in five of his past six games. He is +190 for two strikeouts tonight, which is a lean. However, he has struck out at least once in each of his past 11 games. Though he has fared better against left-handers in his career, I expect him to K at least once tonight.
Meanwhile, Jac Caglianone has played six games since his call-up and is coming off his first career four-hit game. However, that was against the White Sox and tonight he is facing one of the leading candidates to win the AL Cy Young Award in Max Fried. For a rookie, Caglianone has showed solid plate discipline, but he does have one game with three strikeouts and two of his four strikeouts thus far have come across 10 at-bats against left-handers.
Fried has 77 strikeouts on the year and has held left-handers to a .187 average with 24 strikeouts over 75 at-bats.
Cubs vs Phillies Player Props: Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)
Kyle Tucker will soon be one of the highest paid players in baseball. He proved why once again with a first inning home run off Phillies ace Zack Wheeler last night. The homer was his 13th this season and snapped a 14-game home run drought. However, he hasn't been stopped him from getting on base.
Four of Tucker's five hits this month — three doubles and last night's home run — have gone for extra bases. He has also recorded two total bases in five of his past eight games and is 12th in baseball with a .913 OPS this season.
Tucker will face Phillies right-hander Mick Abel tonight. The rookie has been sensational through his first two starts with a 0.79 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 11 and 1/3 innings. However, he likely is not this dominant considering that he has a 4.44 ERA in his minor league career. We will see if the Cubs break through against him tonight, but I will take a Tucker double for two total bases.
Athletics vs Angels Player Props: Lawrence Butler Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
Last night, Lawrence Butler went hitless in the Athletics' series opener against the Angels. However, that has been a rarity as he snapped a seven-game hitting streak. Over the last two weeks, he is hitting .370 with two home runs, seven runs batted in, and a 1.071 OPS.
Tonight, he will draw Angels right-hander Jose Soriano, who just pitched against the As a few weeks ago. Butler is 3-for-8 with a double and a home run against Soriano. Soriano has allowed eight extra-base hits to left-handed hitters compared to just four against right-handers. That includes a lead-off double to Butler on May 19th.
Butler has several lead-off doubles of late. He has belted seven doubles over the last two weeks. He is up to 22 on the year, nearly matching his total from last season already. That is also why I prefer his total bases over his hits + runs+ runs batted in line tonight, which he has also cashed very often of late.
However, Butler has recorded two total bases in 10 of his last 14 games against the Angels and 14 of his last 20 games overall. I expect that trend to continue tonight and we may even get a first inning cash.
