Check out the L'udovit Klein vs. Mateusz Rebecki prediction for UFC 321on Saturday, October 25, with my betting preview and breakdown.

UFC 321 has a number of intriguing fights on the prelims, but L'udovit Klein against Mateusz Rebecki is the one to assuredly deliver fireworks. Both fighters are coming off of a loss, and will be looking to rebound in the featured prelim of the night. It’s not difficult to envision a path to victory for either of these dangerous lightweights, but I believe the damage one of them has sustained in recent bouts will translate to another defeat.

Here's my Klein vs. Rebecko pick and prediction.

It is no secret what Mateusz Rebecki is looking to do in this fight. He is going to move forward from the opening bell, throw an abundance of strikes and shoot for takedowns in his quest to impose his will. Some of the battles Rebecki has been involved in recently have reached legendary status, as seemingly any octagon appearance from the Polish brawler has a chance to steal the show.

However, the damage has started to add up. While Rebecki cannot be labeled as anything but tough and durable at this point, he also is starting to wear the damage very poorly. It was just two months ago when he went to war with Chris Duncan in a fight that saw more than 200 significant strikes landed on him.

This would be a quick turnaround for any fighter, let alone one that sustained the damage Rebecki did in his unanimous decision loss at the hands of Duncan.

Duncan is undoubtedly a tough test for any lightweight, but I believe L'udovit Klein is an even more dangerous proposition for Rebecki in this spot.

Klein has the technical skills and power to make Rebecki pay as he moves forward. He has pinpoint accuracy and the explosive ability to land with power as he moves backwards. While it wouldn’t surprise me to see Klein get dragged to the mat once or twice by the relentless Rebecki, it’s worth noting he has 76% takedown defense over the course of his career and had only been taken down once in seven fights before facing an elite wrestler in Mateusz Gamrot in his last fight.

Klein will enjoy a six inch reach advantage in this contest and possesses the technical ability to make Rebecki pay if he over-extends himself as he looks to close the distance. This will create openings for the well-rounded skill set of Klein, as he’ll look to counter with round stealing power shots.

Klein vs. Rebecki Pick, Prediction

Rebecki has only been stopped by strikes once in his career and it came late in the fight with an accumulation of damage. While I am not going to predict a knockout for Klein, he has the power advantage between the two men and is three years younger than his opponent.

I simply can’t dismiss the wear and tear the 33 year old Rebecki has sustained up to this point, as the expeditious turnaround is weighing heavily on my handicap. I like the favorite Klein to get his hand raised leading into the UFC321 pay-per-view.

John's Pick: Ludovit Klein -130 (Caesars)
