Thunder +4.5

By Matt Moore

This play correlates with the overarching idea that the market is struggling to accurately price the Thunder amidst their current injury crisis.

You have to ask yourself: what is the baseline rating for the Cavaliers, and what is the baseline rating for a fully healthy Thunder team?

My model indicates that a fully healthy OKC team is significantly better than Cleveland. Even when you account for the compounding cluster injuries—taking out Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Cason Wallace—the math doesn't stretch this far.

I am not denying that those are huge losses, but the Thunder's baseline is so incredibly high that they have a massive cushion before they become a bad basketball team.

Even entirely depleted, the Thunder still possess the number one defense in the NBA. Mark Daigneault is an elite coach, and they will figure out ways to manufacture enough offense to stay competitive.

I make this game much closer to a true pick'em — and if the line was a pick'em, I might lean slightly toward the Cavs, but catching 4.5 points offers at least two to two-and-a-half points of pure numerical value. I will gladly take the points with OKC in this spot.

Pick: Thunder +4.5 (-118)

Over 227.5

By Michael Fiddle

When I look at the current betting board, the markets involving OKC are by far the most vulnerable right now due to their chaotic injury situation.

In their last game against Houston, there was a very clear, late syndicate push on the over at 219.5, and I always care significantly more about how the market moves in previous games than the actual final result.

While everyone focuses on what the Thunder are missing offensively without guys like Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams, I am more worried about their defense. Losing multiple versatile, multifaceted defenders fundamentally shifts their floor.

While Houston possessed the physicality to completely stifle OKC's depleted offense in their last outing, Cleveland simply does not present those same suffocating defensive issues.

The Thunder should be able to get to their spots and score plenty of points tonight. Looking top-down at the odds screen, one of the sharpest books opened this total at 227 with -107 juice both ways and immediately took money pushing it up to 228.5.

By grabbing the 227.5, you are compounding previous game action, correctly forecasting the defensive impact of OKC's injuries, and following the sharpest market moves. It's a no-brainer. I'll take the over.

Pick: Over 227.5 (-110)

Isaiah Hartenstein Over 23.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

By Joe Dellera

The injury to Chet Holmgren—who is out for 8 to 10 weeks—has fundamentally shifted the frontcourt dynamics in Oklahoma City.

While head coach Mark Daigneault might try to get cute and split minutes between Jaylin Williams and Aday Mara in certain spots, you absolutely need a real, physical big on the floor against this specific Cleveland matchup because they consistently run out Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.

Isaiah Hartenstein is the only guy on this roster who can genuinely score for himself, crash the glass with authority, and effectively run the offense out of the post against that kind of size.

Plus, the matchup specifically caters to his skill set. Opposing big men have crushed the Cavaliers lately; we've seen guys like Myles Turner, Kel'el Ware, Onyeka Okongwu, and even Jock Landale post big games against them.

Cleveland plays at the 7th-fastest pace in the entire league, and defensively, they concede a ton of catch-and-shoot looks. That combination is in Hartenstein's wheelhouse: he gets the ball deep in the paint, draws the help defense, and immediately kicks it out to an open shooter.

Between the lobs, putbacks, defensive boards, and kick-out dimes, he should be able to stuff the stat sheet. I'll gladly take the over 23.5 PRA.

Pick: Isaiah Hartenstein Over 23.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-114)

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds

By Joe Dellera

I acknowledge that the price is a little juicy in the market right now, but I am still comfortable laying it. Karl-Anthony Towns has already cleared this 11.5 number in five of his first six games this season, and he is currently averaging a massive 13.5 rebounds per night.

With Mitchell Robinson having departed for Boston in the offseason, there is simply nobody left in this Knicks rotation to steal defensive boards away from him, and that reality is glaring in the box scores every night.

The situational matchup also favors a rebounding prop. Brooklyn is coming into Madison Square Garden on the second night of a back-to-back, meaning we should expect tired legs, sluggish offense, and a whole lot of missed shots clanking off the rim.

I considered adding his points to make this a combined PR prop, but the risk of a blowout is too high. If the Knicks jump out to a massive lead and this game gets out of hand, Towns' points are exactly what will disappear when his minutes get slashed in the fourth quarter.

The rebounds, however, should naturally pile up early in the game. If New York's defense successfully holds a fatigued Brooklyn team down, that simply translates to even more rebounding chances for Towns. I'll take over 11.5 rebounds.

Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds (-112)

Magic Moneyline

By Michael Fiddle

I am backing the Magic on the moneyline tonight. I grabbed this earlier at -120, but we have tracked a very sharp, consensus move across three market-leading sportsbooks pushing this line out to -130 and even -145 in some spots.

Spotting that kind of unified sharp movement on an odds screen is a fundamental tool for finding value. The overarching angle here is that the betting market is currently undervaluing the Magic while they navigate injuries to Jalen Suggs and Paolo Banchero.

If you look at the gap between Banchero's Expected Plus-Minus (EPM) and his raw market rating, the advanced metrics suggest he is actually a bit overrated by the betting market in terms of sheer point-spread impact.

We see this trend often with specific stars—like when the market heavily downgraded Boston without Jaylen Brown, only for the Celtics to still perform at a high level.

Even without Banchero, the Magic remain a cohesive unit with a very strong net rating for their starting group.

Meanwhile, the Wizards play incredibly sloppy basketball. While AJ Dybantsa looks fantastic, the rest of the roster is disjointed: Trae Young is settling for too many floaters, Anthony Davis is taking too many threes, and their supporting shooters aren't sharp enough.

Give me the disciplined, cohesive home team over a sloppy opponent.

Pick: Magic Moneyline (-135)

Duncan Robinson Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made

By Bryan Fonseca

Duncan Robinson is shooting an ungodly amount of threes for this Pistons offense right now. Through his first six games, he has hoisted up 53 attempts from deep, averaging roughly nine three-point attempts per contest.

Robinson started the season scorching hot, sinking five triples in each of his first three games. While he has naturally cooled off over his last three outings—shooting 2-for-10, 3-for-8, and 2-for-7—the sheer volume of attempts is what you are betting on.

Detroit desperately needs his floor spacing to function offensively, so his minutes and the bright green light should be secure.

When a player steps on the floor and consistently gets 7-to-10 looks from beyond the arc, he doesn't even need to be efficient to cash a modest 2.5 line.

Tonight, Robinson draws a favorable matchup against a Hornets defense that is surrendering a high volume of high-quality threes. Opponents are currently shooting 37.6 percent from deep against Charlotte, which is among the highest marks in the league.

The attempts should be there all night, and I expect Robinson to let it fly.

Pick: Duncan Robinson Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-160)

VJ Edgecombe Over 5.5 Rebounds

By Bryan Fonseca

VJ Edgecombe is currently the best pound-for-pound rebounder on the 76ers. While we expect Joel Embiid to return for this game, Embiid just isn't the same dominant rebounder he used to be, sitting at 9.4 boards per game despite his positional advantage.

Aside from Embiid and Edgecombe, Philly is a dreadful rebounding team. LeBron James will get his typical seven rebounds, but he isn't going to aggressively fight for them in traffic the way Edgecombe does.

VJ is drastically outperforming his position on the glass, averaging 7.8 rebounds per game and clearing this 5.5 mark in every single game this season outside of opening night. He has recently pulled down totals of 8, 7, 13, and 7 boards.

Beyond his individual hustle, the specific matchup against the Bulls presents a nice edge too. The Bulls play at a very fast pace, letting their young guys run relentlessly, which inherently creates more rebounding opportunities.

Defensively, Chicago also allows the second-most shots at the rim in the entire league.

The Sixers are actively utilizing Edgecombe to bring the ball up the floor to run Tyrese Maxey off screens in motion, meaning VJ is in the perfect position to grab the defensive rebound and immediately kickstart the offense.

Edgecombe has been crushing this number all year, and I love the spot for him here.

Pick: VJ Edgecombe Over 5.5 Rebounds (-170)

Timberwolves -10.5

By Matt Moore

My personal power ratings actually make this spread Timberwolves -13.5, which gives us two full points of numerical value on the board.

The betting market completely freaked out and overreacted when Anthony Edwards went down with an injury.

Yes, the Golden State Warriors showed up and beat the snot out of them in his absence, but the market viewed that as a condemnation of the Wolves without Ant.

In reality, the Warriors are legitimately a top-10 schedule-adjusted team on both ends of the floor right now, and Steve Kerr is operating like a warlock on the sidelines.

Minnesota quickly bounced back and handled their business against the Clippers, proving they still maintain a very high baseline level of execution.

On the other side of the floor, the Bucks are genuinely dreadful. They are one of the absolute worst non-Kings teams in the league right now — and they are also completely inept in crunch-time situations.

If this happens to be a three- or four-possession game with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, I trust the Timberwolves to stretch that lead out to a cover, whereas Milwaukee lacks the structural integrity to claw their way back in for a backdoor cover.

The market has incorrectly downgraded Minnesota. I'll lay the wood with the Timberwolves -10.5 tonight.

Pick: Timberwolves -10.5 (-115)

Cam Boozer Over 8.5 Rebounds

By Joe Dellera

Cam Boozer has been phenomenal to start his professional career, firmly establishing himself as the top option on the 2026 NBA rookie ladder.

Boozer is currently averaging 17.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in roughly 30 minutes a night. Through his first three games, he racked up an absurd 48 points and 35 rebounds—a statistical threshold only Shaquille O'Neal had ever reached as a rookie. He then immediately followed that up by posting a triple-double and a career-high 27 points against the Kings.

I firmly believe the betting market is over-indexing on Zach Edey's presence in this frontcourt. Edey is undeniably a great rebounder, but his minutes are capped around 20 a night, meaning the vast majority of the available boards are falling right into Boozer's lap.

The game environment is also great for this prop. New Orleans plays at the 3rd-fastest pace in the NBA, which should naturally lead to a high number of possessions and shot attempts.

The Pelicans are incredibly thin at the center position right now with Yves Missi sidelined, removing a significant source of interior resistance.

Even in a massive 31-point blowout over Sacramento where his minutes were limited to just 26, Boozer still easily pulled down 9 rebounds. I am grabbing the over at 8.5.

Pick: Cam Boozer Over 8.5 Rebounds (-135)

Rockets -4.5

By Michael Fiddle

The Rockets are an absolute wagon right now, sitting at 6-1, and they just successfully integrated Alperen Sengun back into the lineup in their last game. Now, they get to host a Celtics team dragging into H-Town on the second night of a grueling road back-to-back.

The situational rest advantage is huge, and the injury report could swing this game entirely. Mitchell Robinson is listed as questionable for rest purposes, and losing his rebounding presence against a physical Houston frontcourt would be a significant loss. Jayson Tatum also took a nasty shot to the face in his last game and was bleeding on the court.

The true value here is securing this -4.5 line before that potential information drops and drastically shifts the market. However, even if we assume all the questionable Celtics suit up and play, I still like this number.

Houston features an abundance of elite point-of-attack defenders perfectly built to close out on Boston's guard-heavy, shoot-first offense. Throw in the Marcus Smart revenge narrative, and I love the Rockets to cover.

Pick: Rockets -4.5 (-118)

Nikola Jokic Over 11.5 Rebounds

By Joe Dellera

If you look at Nikola Jokic's rebounding logs to start the season, the numbers are all over the place: 7, 15, 7, 13, and 7.

That high level of variance is exactly why I love this play today. The number is currently sitting at a manageable 11.5 in a matchup that perfectly suits him, so I am more than willing to pay a little bit of juice to lock it in.

While Portland is a solid rebounding team overall, they haven't been particularly great at keeping opposing centers off the glass.

More importantly for Jokic, guys like Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams are traditional, paint-bound bigs. They aren't going to drag Jokic out to the perimeter to defend in space; he can comfortably stay home, body up in the paint, and clean the defensive glass.

Jokic absolutely crushed this specific matchup last season, posting 14, 9, 14, and 14 rebounds against the Blazers.

Plus, with Ja Morant currently sidelined, the Portland offense gets significantly uglier and less efficient.

More missed shots naturally equal more defensive rebounding opportunities for the Joker. Give me over 11.5 rebounds.

Pick: Nikola Jokic Over 11.5 Rebounds (-140)
