Thunder vs Cavaliers Moneyline Pick

The Thunder head to Cleveland on Monday evening for an interconference clash with the Cavaliers at Rocket Arena.

Mark Daigneault’s bunch enters as a 4.5-point road underdog with +150 to pull off an upset, while the Cavs are currently listed at -180 on the moneyline.

Despite the team's vast success, the injury bug has once again struck the Thunder, and in the worst way.

Following a promising 4-0 start to the campaign, forward Jalen Williams suffered a fractured left fibula and a severe ankle dislocation, resulting in the tearing of many ligaments throughout his leg.

While Williams’ surgery was a success, the Santa Clara product is expected to miss the rest of the season, which should force Daigneault to lean far more on a rotation with some very underrated depth.

In other unfortunate yet unsurprising injury news for the Thunder, center Chet Holmgren has once again suffered a partial knee tear that will keep him out for several months.

Despite its current rough patch, they still boast a championship-caliber squad, largely thanks to the unstoppable force that is reigning MVPShai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Over their first six games, the Cavaliers have an identical 4-2 record to the Thunder, with guard Donovan Mitchell and PF Evan Mobley both off to stellar starts in their respective 2026-27 NBA campaigns.

Cleveland boasts an elite frontcourt that also features C Jarrett Allen, who, alongside Mobley, just put up a collective 52 points in a blowout victory over the Bucks.

Though many expect the Cavs' frontcourt to dominate an OKC interior missing both Jalen Williams and Chet, I expect Thunder 7-foot rookie center Aday Mara to have a massive impact on the defensive end of the floor.

The former Wolverine was vital to Michigan winning a national title last season, especially in blocking shots and crashing the glass.

I view Mara and Isaiah Hartenstein as a very overlooked tandem that will surely make it harder for Mobley and Allen to find clean looks near the basket than most anticipate.

The Thunder continue to thrive by turning defensive takeaways into fast-break scoring chances.

If Daigneault’s squad can disrupt Mitchell and Harden's backcourt tandem, OKC will be able to push the pace and avoid Cleveland’s dominant rim protection in half-court execution.

That said, I'm willing to take the Oklahoma City moneyline at +150, which should build a solid foundation for our Monday night value parlay.

Pick: Thunder ML (+150)

Celtics vs Rockets Moneyline Pick

The Rockets will host the Celtics on Monday night at the Toyota Center in Houston in a matchup featuring two teams in scorching form over the first two weeks of the NBA season.

Houston is 6-1 over its first seven games and has looked tremendous, especially on offense.

Ime Udoka’s bunch ranks fourth in the league in scoring at 120.7 PPG, and boasts a remarkably versatile lineup, particularly in its frontcourt, where Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun have been wreaking havoc on opposing defenses.

Sengun has quickly established himself as one of the premier “Bigs” in the entire NBA, currently posting nearly 23 PPG, along with nine rebounds and just shy of 7.5 assists on average.

While not quite as dominant, KD has been shooting the lights out as well, averaging 22 PPG so far while converting 54.8% of his field-goal attempts.

The Rockets’ deep, star-studded rotation also features forwards Jabari Smith and Amen Thompson, along with PG Fred VanVleet, all of whom are thriving thus far.

The Celtics are also coming in elite form, after forward Jayson Tatum led them to five victories throughout their first six games.

Many were unsure what to expect from Joe Mazzulla’s bunch after trading star wing Jaylen Brown to the Sixers this past offseason, but it's actually the impact that Paul George has made on the offensive end of the floor that has made all the difference, despite most thinking his best days were in the rearview.

Payton Pritchard and Derrick White have both played very well for Boston’s backcourt, but it's the Celtics’ frontcourt that really worries me in how they match up with Houston.

Center Mitchell Robinson is on the IL and isn't expected to be available tonight, which could be problematic against a massive Rockets frontcourt.

The Celtics are also playing the second night of a back-to-back after winning on the road in Orlando on Sunday, which could make fatigue a legitimate concern given their small rotation.

Despite how impressive Boston has looked, rattling off five straight wins, I love the Rockets to prevail in what should be a lively home atmosphere in Houston.

I'm backing the Rockets moneyline as the second leg of our Monday night moneyline parlay, currently at +280 on DraftKings.

Pick: Rockets ML (-191)
