Heat Moneyline (-120)

The Magic are coming into this game with a health disadvantage, as they will be without Franz Wagner, and will have a likely limited Paolo Banchero.

This Heat team is very good defensively, which should go a long way in this NBA Cup atmosphere.

I make Miami 4.5-point favorites in this spot.

Pick: Heat Moneyline (-120)

The Knicks face off against the Raptors in the first elimination game of the NBA Cup tonight.

I’ll target OG Anunoby in a matchup against his former team.

OG is averaging 15.9 points per game this season, and is coming off a strong game against the Magic in which he scored 21 points.

This is a strong matchup for him as well.

The Raptors are poor at defending spot up shooters, and OG is one of the best.

He’s also played well against the Raptors since he was traded to the Knicks from Toronto.

Anunoby has scored at 14, 14, 31, and 27 points in four games against the Raptors, and has taken no fewer than 11 shots in any game.

Pick: OG Anunoby Over 14.5 Points (-117)

Jalen Suggs Over 18.5 Points (-110)

I’m targeting Jalen Suggs here.

When Jalen Suggs plays without Franz Wagner, his role shifts toward leading the offense and creating more plays, often seeing increased scoring, and it's been happening quickly too.

Last season, in the first two games without Franz after he went down with the oblique injury, Suggs scored 26 and 32 points.

Pick: Jalen Suggs Over 18.5 Points (-110)

Under 226.5 (-110)

This system identifies value on the Under in division games where the total drops despite the public leaning toward the Over (40% or less of bets).

The reverse movement of the line suggests sharp action is backing the Under.

Division familiarity often leads to tighter, lower-scoring games, enhancing the edge.

Pick: Under 226.5 (-110)

The Magic face off against the Heat in the NBA Cup tonight, and they will be without Franz Wagner.

One player I expect to see an uptick is Jalen Suggs.

Suggs has been great for Orlando this season. He has really filled in as a decent distributor for them as well, averaging 4.7 assists per game.

He just picked up five dimes against the Heat a few days ago, and Miami is a strong matchup.

Miami plays at the fastest pace in the league, and they allow the seventh-most assists per game to their opponents.

There have been very few minutes this season with Suggs on the court and Franz off, but he does see a bump in his assist rate.

When Franz is off and Paolo is on, this rate has skyrocketed in an ultra small sample size.

Orlando also ran their guys in the Cup games last season, and I can see Suggs getting even more run than usual.

Pick: Jalen Suggs Over 4.5 Assists (-115)
