BYU vs. Utah Pick
There's good reason to think scoring could begin early in the Holy War.
BYU executes its rushing attack through 11 and 12 personnel, but a two-tight-end set should be an advantage over Utah. The Cougars have run half of their outside zone attempts in 12 personnel, a concept that lowers the Utes' defensive efficiency by 14%.
The potential return of running back LJ Martin would only benefit BYU on the offensive side of the ball, making the Big 12 availability report a must-watch in Week 10.
The same advantages exist for the Utah offense through power and outside zone run concepts, both run with 12 personnel. BYU has yet to face an offense that runs power with a heavy box, posting a mid-FBS Success Rate of 51% against a light box.
The biggest issue for both of these offenses is tackling at the second level.
Devon Dampier, Wayshawn Parker, Bear Bachmeier and Martin are four of the most elusive rushers at their positions, while both opposing defenses have shown serious inefficiencies when it comes to tackling.
Action Network's Betting Power Ratings call for Utah to be favored by 5 points, and alignment with the market leaves no value on the side.
However, these teams have been offensive powder kegs in the first half. Utah and BYU rank in the top 18 of first-half scoring offenses, posting 23.3 and 20 points in the opening half, respectively.
Considering neither defense has experience against run concepts using two tight ends, missed tackles will lead to plenty of explosives in the Holy War.

Texas vs. Missouri Pick
By Stuckey
Texas could certainly cover this spread, but I don't know how anybody can trust this Longhorns offense enough to lay points on the road (where they have really struggled in recent seasons) against a competent club.
It's just so hard for the Longhorns to build margin with an offense that has the highest three-and-out rate in the SEC, which is why you could argue Texas could easily have three or four losses already on the season.
Arch Manning continues to struggle (13:13 big-time throw-to-turnover-worthy play ratio in 2026) in front of an underachieving offensive line that won't have star left tackle Trevor Goosby for the rest of the season.
That's an enormous loss in general, but especially against this now-healthy Missouri edge rush that should get home here without blitzing, which Missouri rarely does.
You can expect a number of key drive-killing sacks for an offense that takes way too many. That may also lead to some critical fumbles and potential interceptions against Missouri's zone-heavy defense.
After all, the Texas offense ranks 136th in Havoc allowed, while Missouri's defense ranks in the top 15 nationally in Havoc created.
Plus, Goosby isn't the only key loss on offense. Texas will be without star running back Hollywood Smothers once again, while starting receivers Ryan Wingo and Cam Coleman are listed as questionable. That's a significant injury list, to say the least.
Texas' playoff hopes are still alive due to its defense, which has been excellent all season.
However, it's worth noting it did benefit from facing Mississippi State without Kamario Taylor and Tennessee when the Vols were still trotting out Faizon Brandon, who was a deer in the headlights in the pocket.
The Longhorns might also be very shorthanded on that side of the ball. We still don't know if Colin Simmons will suit up or how effective he will be if he does give it a go.
Additionally, Texas could be without a couple of starters in the secondary, which would certainly make life easier for Mizzou quarterback Austin Simmons.
The Missouri offense has been very hit-or-miss on a weekly basis, as Simmons is incredibly streaky. There's a reason the Tigers have a negative expected Success Rate after adjusting for opponent. Who knows if we will get the good or bad Simmons?
If we get the good version, Missouri should win this game. But even if we get the bad version, Missouri can still win a low-scoring affair, as I just don't have much faith in the Texas offense.
There's also the potential for star running back Ahmad Hardy to provide a boost to the ground game after he made his season debut last week at Arkansas.
I would try to get the 3 if you decide to back Missouri, as this one could end up being a low-scoring rock fight where every point will matter even more. It's no surprise that half of Texas' games have ended with a margin of three or fewer points this season.
For what it's worth, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz has gone 11-4-1 ATS (73.3%) as a home 'dog, covering by eight points per game.
Meanwhile, Texas has gone 1-7 ATS in its past eight true road games. During his tenure in Austin, head coach Steve Sarkisian has covered in just 36% of away games.

Pick: Missouri +3 or Better
UCLA vs. Minnesota Pick
By Jourdan Case
I still don't think the market is pricing UCLA properly, even this late into the season.
Head coach Bob Chesney has this team playing at an incredibly high level. Even if the offense has been less than stellar, the defense has been incredible.
The Bruins have allowed more than 300 yards of total offense in just two games this season, both of which happened back in September.
The UCLA defense ranks fourth in EPA/Rush, first in EPA/Dropback and fourth in adjusted EPA/Play.
Minnesota hasn't scored multiple offensive touchdowns in three straight games, with one of those games coming against Purdue. It just took Indiana to OT but was outgained by more than 200 yards overall and had a -2.5 yards-per-play differential.
UCLA should be able to run the ball well enough to dominate the time of possession, and with a little bit of efficiency, it should pull away and win by multiple scores, while keeping Minnesota's streak of not scoring multiple offensive touchdowns intact.
Pick: UCLA -5

Clemson vs. Syracuse Pick
By Bet Labs
Saturday's Clemson vs. Syracuse college football game fits a historically profitable betting system from our Bet Labs database.
Called "Mature Market Moves, Line Freeze," this is a college football system that looks for games where sharp money clearly favors one side, but the betting line doesn't move significantly.
In the regular season, when the spread sits between 1 and 6 points, these are often closely contested games where even small market signals matter.
A large gap between the percentage of money and the percentage of tickets shows that bigger, sharper wagers are leaning in one direction, while casual bettors are spread elsewhere.
When the spread barely shifts from open to close, it suggests bookmakers are confident in their number and are respecting sharp money rather than adjusting to public action.
This combination of tight spreads, sharp influence and minimal movement creates situations where following the money side has consistently produced long-term value.
This system boasts an all-time record of 486-357-13, good for a winning percentage of 57.7% and an ROI of 10.9%.
Pick: Syracuse +2.5
