Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview: Crowned Too Early

The Rams are the ultimate variance team right now, and the futures market is giving them way too much respect.

Despite sitting at 2-4 and cycling through their third kicker of the season, the Rams are somehow the fifth or sixth favorite to win the Super Bowl. It makes absolutely no sense after their upset loss to the Cardinals in Week 6.

Matthew Stafford has not looked sharp, and head coach Sean McVay's game management has highly questionable throughout the season. The Rams are completely battered by injuries, missing Myles Garrett, Kobie Turner, Poona Ford, and Davante Adams. Puka Nacua's status is also in question after he suffered a calf injury on Thursday.

The Rams' upcoming schedule is an absolute gauntlet. After their bye in Week 11, they have to face Seattle (twice), Kansas City, San Francisco, Green Bay, Dallas, and Tampa Bay.

The Rams' season could be over if they drop today's game.

Las Vegas Raiders Betting Preview: Perfect Against the Spread

The Raiders have been a frisky team this season. They currently boast the only 4-0 against the spread (ATS) record in the NFL, and their offense is highly potent with Brock Bowers stretching the middle of the field for the surprisingly competent Kirk Cousins.

While their rushing attack leaves a lot to be desired with Ashton Jeanty continuing to disappoint, head coach Klint Kubiak is adapting nicely as a first season with the team.

Kubiak has explicitly discussed utilizing Pete Carroll-style open competitions and integrating backup Mike Washington Jr. more heavily into the offensive attack to spark the ground game.

Defensively, Maxx Crosby is an absolute game-wrecker, and he is going to make life miserable for a stationary quarterback behind a struggling offensive line.

Rams vs Raiders Prediction, Betting Analysis

The Rams are extremely overvalued based on reputation rather than current on-field production.

Maxx Crosby is going to relentlessly pressure Matthew Stafford, and Klint Kubiak's adjustments should inject enough life into the Las Vegas offense to sustain scoring drives.

I'll lean into the variance and back the Raiders to win this game on the road against a depleted Rams roster.

Pick: Raiders Moneyline (+180)
