Ahead of the 2025 NFL season, The Action Network asked more than 3,000 fans across all 32 teams which opponents they’d most enjoy watching stumble, and which teams (other than their own) they wouldn’t mind seeing win the Super Bowl 2026 in 2026.
The Teams NFL Fans Most Want to See Lose This Season
No surprise here: the Dallas Cowboys top the list of teams other fan bases are rooting against. Fifteen different fan groups put Dallas at No. 1, and nearly 17% of all respondents named them outright. Right behind them? The Kansas City Chiefs. Ten fan bases pointed to Patrick Mahomes & Co. as the team they most want to see knocked down a peg. The Chiefs’ recent dominance clearly has plenty of fans ready for someone else to take the spotlight.
And when you get into the demographics, some splits stand out. Male respondents leaned heavier toward Dallas (18.9%), while female fans were more likely to single out Kansas City (14.2%). Age made a difference too: younger fans (18-34) mostly went with the Chiefs, while older groups (35 and up) sided against the Cowboys.
Part of that Kansas City fatigue comes from football dominance, and part of it may be that some fans are worn out from seeing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in the headlines every Sunday (not us though – keep it coming, Tay-Tay). Either way, the Chiefs clearly draw strong feelings across the board.
And here’s a weird twist: Chargers fans were the only group to put their own team at the top of the list. Tough crowd in Los Angeles.

The NFL Teams Fans Would Be Okay With Winning The Super Bowl 2026 (Aside From Their Own Team)
Now on the other side of the coin, we asked fans the classic if not us, then who?” question. The Buffalo Bills came out on top, with eight different fan bases picking them as the team they’d most like to see win it all.
After Buffalo, the Chiefs showed up again (though in a rare positive light this time). Six fan bases were fine with Kansas City lifting another Lombardi, while five pointed to the Detroit Lions as their second-choice champs.
So while the Cowboys draw the most “please lose” energy, Buffalo seems to be the league’s sentimental favorite when it comes to pulling for someone else.
