Seahawks vs Chiefs Preview

A battle of recent Super Bowl winners takes place tonight in Seattle.

The Chiefs fly in for a Sunday Night Football showdown against the reigning champions, hoping to stay undefeated. Meanwhile, the 3-3 Seahawks look to reverse course on a season of mediocrity.

Seattle is awaiting the arrival of 2024-2025 Sam Darnold. A Week 1 glute strain derailed his season, but we are several games removed from his activation.

Darnold has as many interceptions (7) as touchdown passes this season and a below-average 6.9 yards per pass attempt.

Furthermore, the Seahawks are struggling to run the football. The departures of RB Kenneth Walker and Klint Kubiak have impacted this offense.

Walker entered Week 7 as the NFL's leading rusher despite already having his bye week. This game will have a classic "revenge" narrative for him after the Seahawks failed to extend him during his rookie contract.

Travis Kelce Over 45.5 Rec Yards

On the opposing end, future Hall of Fame QB Patrick Mahomes looks like his best self again.

Mahomes tore his ACL in the second half of 2025, yet has not lost a step. His passing efficiency is among the league's best, while also adding 57 rushing yards and a TD on the ground.

This Chiefs offense will not have the easiest day against Seattle's top-ranked defense, but they will find ways to move the ball as usual. Travis Kelce –on National Tight Ends Day, no less — will be relied upon with WR1 Rashee Rice (hamstring) still out.

Kelce has a good matchup against a Seattle defense that runs a blitz at the league's second-lowest rate. He can be used as a receiver regularly instead of chipping against this defense that runs two-high safeties at the league's sixth-highest rate and zone defense at the highest rate.

Kelce is better against both (than single-high and man defense) this season and should be peppered to move Kansas City's chains.

Take over 44.5 receiving yards (-115) as the first leg of tonight's parlay.

Kenneth Walker III Anytime TD

Next, we will lean into Walker's revenge game by taking his anytime TD prop (-125).

This line has dropped, but we are not scared away by that. Walker has scored in every game, aside from Week 2's matchup against Indianapolis (in which he earned 178 yards on 30 touches).

This game means more for Walker than anyone, and the Chiefs know it. They will give him every opportunity to find the end zone against the NFL's second-best run defense.

Walker has the NFL's third-highest rate of red-zone rush attempts and will do everything to fall in for at least one tonight.

AJ Barner Over 24.5 Rec Yards

Next, we follow the trend of National TE Day and take A.J. Barner over 24.5 receptions (-113) as the final leg.

Seahawks backup TE Elijah Arroyo is out with an injury, leaving Barner as the singular receiving TE option in Seattle.

Barner, like Kelce, has a matchup advantage against the opposing defense. Kansas City runs more two-high than single-high safety and more man coverage than zone.

Barner has a higher target-per-route rate against man and two-high defenses. His yards per route take a significant jump against two-high, and his targets per route jump up against man.

Seahawks vs Chiefs Same-Game Parlay

  • Travis Kelce Over 45.5 Rec Yards (-115)
  • Kenneth Walker Anytime TD (-125)
  • AJ Barner Over 24.5 Rec Yards (-113)

Parlay Odds: +534 (DraftKings)
