USA vs. Iran Odds, Market Report: Bettors All in on United States

The time has come for a decisive day in the growth and progress of the United States Men's National Team, as they face Iran in a win or go home World Cup fixture.
Over at BetMGM, the US are +100 on the three-way moneyline, and that has invited a significant amount of betting action on the Stars and Stripes.
Eighty three percent of the betting tickets and 90% of the money is on the USA to win the game outright, thus punching their ticket in the knockout round of the tournament.
A draw accounts for 7% of the wagers and 4% of the handle, while an Iran win would equal 10% of the tickets and 6% of the handle cashing.
In terms of this game specifically, a United States win would be the worst outcome for BetMGM, but according to trader Christian Cipollini, it wouldn't actually bet the worst thing in the world.
“USA is currently BetMGM's biggest liability to win the World Cup. While we're personally fans, USA winning it would be a tough outcome for the book, that said, as they advance, we're seeing more betting action than ever.”
Elsewhere in the contest, popular wagers include both teams to score (+105), Christian Pulisic to score (+230) and the total going over 2.5.
