Linette didn't enter this tournament in particularly good form, having suffered recent straight-set defeats against Iva Jovic (0-2) and, in a major upset, Tatjana Maria (0-2).
However, she has looked much sharper here, moving past Tereza Valentova and Jelena Ostapenko — both highly dangerous opponents. She will certainly step onto the court with self-belief and won't be easily intimidated by her compatriot.

Swiatek enters as the heavy favorite, being a four-time champion here. That said, Swiatek has become somewhat more fluctuating and unpredictable of late.
