Rockies vs Nationals Prediction, Betting Analysis
By: Brit Devine
I'm going to back the Nationals here, as they have very distinct advantages on both the mound and at the plate.
Antonio Senzatela takes the bump for Colorado, and he's likely the worst starting pitcher in baseball this season. Of any pitcher with at least 60 innings pitched, he has the highest ERA, the most hits allowed (by an astonishing 17 hits) and the second-highest hard contact allowed.
His advanced stats back up his horrific season.
The Nationals are rolling out Mike Soroka, who has a 5.14 ERA. However, his advanced metrics look much better than his ERA, and this is the perfect spot for him to shine against a weak Rockies lineup on the road.
Washington should run away with this one from first pitch.
