Tony Sartori's Royals vs Tigers Best Bet

The pitching matchup favors the Tigers, while the hitting matchup is likely a wash.
Detroit also boasts home-field advantage, where it has played stronger this season.
On the other hand, the Royals bring a troubling 17-35 road record into this contest.

Ryan Minion's Diamondbacks vs Nationals Best Bet

Despite Nats’ 30-year-old left-hander Foster Griffin having entered this season with minimal experience pitching in the Major Leagues, with just eight frames on the mound prior to 2026, the first-time All-Star has been nothing short of sensational across his 20 outings thus far.
Griffin enters this contest with an 11-2 overall record on the season and has recorded a very impressive 2.68 ERA on the bump, which ranks 12th amongst all starters in 2026.
Washington’s lefty has been extremely efficient across his 117 innings pitched, with Foster also ranking inside the top-10 with a 1.03 WHIP in 2026.
Though Griffin was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals back in 2014, the Nationals’ left-hander was completely dismissed, having spent the majority of his career pitching in the minor leagues.
While Washington’s 30-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the premier arms in baseball prior to the All-Star break, we have yet to see much from Diamondbacks’ rookie Mitch Bratt, who has only started three games to kick off his MLB career.
Despite a small sample size, the Snakes’ 23-year-old lefty has been largely impressive across his first 11 frames pitching in the Big Leagues. In his first three outings, Bratt has recorded a 5.06 ERA along with a dreadful 1.78 WHIP.

Doug Ziefel's Dodgers vs Mets Best Bet

While the records certainly don't show it, Game 2 of this series is a heavyweight matchup because of the two men on the mound. Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the ball for the Dodgers, and he will face off with Mets ace Nolan McLean.
Both guys are coming into this start off some of their best performances of the season. Yamamoto tossed a complete game in Yankee Stadium while only allowing two runs on four hits. On the same day, McLean tossed six innings of shutout ball against the Phillies while striking out 10 and allowing just two hits.
Although they are both trending up heading into this duel, McLean is likely to run into trouble tonight.
The key to success for McLean in any outing is command, and over his last five starts, he's dialed it in, not having walked more than two batters in a start. However, his first-pitch strike rate is 56.8% over that same span, per Handigraphs.
Falling behind in counts can prove fatal against the best lineup in baseball. The Dodgers are not only an extremely dangerous group at the dish, but also extremely disciplined.
With the Mets bullpen fairly rested, and their high-leverage arms being the ones that are especially fresh, don't expect Andy Green to let McLean work out of trouble in the sixth as his pitch count will be high by then.
Fade the quality start of the Mets ace by taking the under on his outs prop tonight.
