Mariners vs Blue Jays MLB Betting Preview
By Derek Carty
I am taking a really ballsy fade today, this time targeting Dylan Cease.
I’m locking in Dylan Cease Under 17.5 Outs. Look, I get it — this one is scary. Nobody wants to fade Dylan Cease because he is objectively great, but that reputation is precisely why we’re getting such a massive edge on this market.
THE BAT X sees this prop as much closer to a 50/50 coin flip. When sportsbooks hand us huge +135 plus-odds on a coin flip, I’m going to hold my nose, take the price, and trust the math.
Beyond the pricing, Cease faces a dangerous Seattle lineup getting a major offensive park upgrade today by playing outside of pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park.
Recency bias is heavy here. Box-score hunters see that Cease has completed 6.0+ innings in eight of his last nine starts, prompting bookmakers to raise this line, but if you zoom out to his full-season sample, he’s actually gone six or more innings in just 13 of his 24 starts — roughly 54% of the time.
This isn't an attack on Cease's talent; it's simply taking advantage of a market that has overadjusted to a hot streak.
Pick: Dylan Cease Under 17.5 Outs (+105 or Better)
