World Series Game 4 is tonight, just a few short hours after a marathon Game 3. The Dodgers have taken a 2-1 series lead, which means the Blue Jays are in a bit of a desperation spot.

Can Shane Bieber help Toronto even the series? Or will Shohei Ohtani continue his magical run and put the Dodgers one step closer to a second consecutive ring?

Our World Series Game 4 best bets and MLB picks are below.

After a rough showing in Game 2, the Blue Jays' offense woke up in the middle stages of Game 3. They erupted for four runs in the fourth inning, which is the second time they scored 4+ runs in one inning this series. That's what makes the Blue Jays' lineup so tough; they can come out of nowhere.

Coincidence or not — the Blue Jays had one big inning versus Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow — two high strikeout, high walk hurlers. They'll see a similar situation with Shohei Ohtani on the mound in Game 3.

Shohei Ohtani could have a similar fate as Glasnow and Snell. He's been nothing short of excellent on the mound, posting a 2.87 ERA with a 1.90 FIP in the regular season and punched out nine hitters versus the Phillies and 10 versus the Brewers.

However, the Blue Jays don't strike out, so things may not come quite as easy.

The Dodgers have scored 4+ runs in all three World Series games and their lineup has plenty of depth, making the over a threat to cash in any game.

Two of the first three games went over. These two offenses are total juggernauts, and I see another over here. It's fair to consider whether the bats will be tired after such a long game, but on the other hand, the 'pens were totally gassed, which cancels out the tired bats to a degree.

I think we'll see another high-scoring affair in LA.

Pick: Over 8.5 (+100)

Both bullpens emptied in Game 3, but the Dodgers' arms are a bit better-rested heading into Game 4.

The Dodgers' relievers had extensive rest before Monday, thanks to their NLCS sweep and Yoshinobu Yamamoto's complete-game victories in both the NLCS and World Series Game 2.

While Will Klein (72 pitches), Edgardo Henriquez (30 pitches), Roki Sasaki (29 pitches), and Justin Wrobleski (28 pitches) each worked multi-inning stints, I'd expect each, except for Klein, to be available again on Tuesday.

The Blue Jays only have eight bullpen arms, compared to nine for the Dodgers, and used Eric Lauer for 68 pitches, Braydon Fisher for the third time in the series, and Jeff Hoffman, Louis Varland, and Mason Fluarty each for their second appearances of the series.

I projected the Dodgers as -196 favorites and set the total at 8.49 runs; as a result, I don't see value on either the full-game side or the total for Game 4.

However, I do project a slight edge on the Dodgers to win the first five innings, up to -210 (listed -200, projected -219).

Pick: Dodgers 1st 5 Innings Moneyline (-200)

Shane Bieber Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+105)

Shane Bieber's strikeouts prop is set at 4.5 tonight for his Game 4 start against the Dodgers. However, PRO only projects Bieber for 4.32 strikeouts, a difference that equates to a 7.9% edge.

Bieber did go over this number in each of his two starts in the ALCS, but, of course, the Dodgers' offense is much more potent that that of the Mariners. Here's a look at how Bieber has fared over the past 60 days.

Pick: Shane Bieber Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+105)
