It wouldn't be Motor Sports Christmas without a funsie parlay and round robin to sweat for the day!
So I've put together a bet from each race that I like, and combined them into a three-leg parlay. You can also round-robin each of the combinations of two so that we can miss one leg and still have a chance to win a nice two-leg parlay!
Here's my motor sports triple-header parlay.
Monaco, Indy, Charlotte Motorsports Parlay
- Formula 1 – Monaco Grand Prix: Lando Norris to Win (-160 at FanDuel)
- IndyCar – Indianapolis 500: Pato O'Ward Top-3 Finish (+170 at FanDuel)
- NASCAR – Coca-Cola 600: Kyle Larson to Win (+470 at FanDuel)
Parlay Odds: +2400 at FanDuel
Motor Sports Analysis
I'm no Formula 1 expert, so this is probably my shakiest leg. That said, I can spit out some basic stats.
Since 2010 when F1 moved to no refueling in races, the polesitter has won 9 of 14 races for a 64.3% hit rate. Lando Norris is the polesitter in the best equipment on the grid, McLaren. He should face a stiff challenge from Charles Leclerc who has been stellar here along with Ferrari showing excellent pace at slower, tighter circuits, but at least the polesitting odds are in Norris' favor.
For IndyCar, you can see my thoughts on Pato O'Ward in my Indy 500 preview piece.
Finally in NASCAR, my model gives Kyle Larson an 18.8% chance to win, which equates to about +432 as fair odds. Since +470 is longer than that, I'll roll with that as my third leg, and nightcap, of the motorsports triple header parlay and round robin.
