Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets NBA Preview
The Hornets are elite in this spot. Seriously.
Charlotte is an NBA-best 7-0 against the spread on the second leg of a back-to-back. And they're 7-1 ATS on a rest disadvantage, which is second best in the league.
The Pacers are 7-9 ATS as road underdogs, and they've lost 13 straight games.
Charlotte just lost to the Raptors at home last night on a terrific game-winning three from Immanuel Quickley, but managed minutes to a degree, playing only Kon Knueppel for over 30 minutes.
Their injury report will need to be tracked throughout the day, as Brandon Miller was initially listed as probable, but was later downgraded to questionable, then became a true game-time decision, and ultimately was ruled out.
For tonight, Miller is questionable (knee), but conventional wisdom anticipates him to play. However, conventional wisdom and the NBA don't always co-exist.
Otherwise, Grant Williams (ACL recovery) and Mason Plumlee (groin) are definite outs. Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) hasn't played since December 20, but his status is unknown.
For Indiana, Obi Toppin (foot), Bennedict Mathurin (thumb), Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles), and Isaiah Jackson (concussion) are out.
