The Knicks entered the 2021-22 season fresh off the best cover rate in basketball, while the Lakers tied for the shortest preseason title odds.
To call the current campaign underwhelming for the two storied teams would be a sheer understatement: They both enter Saturday's tilt under .500 straight-up and against the spread.
The Lakers own the sixth-worst cover rate in basketball (43.4%); the Knicks are 12th (25-27, 48.1%).
Though the two have been wallet-burners virtually all season, public bettors are clearly flocking to one side for Saturday's clash.
