Bettors are riding with the two home teams — Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers — on Tuesday's opening night of the NBA season.

The Bucks start the 2021-22 NBA season at home against the Brooklyn Nets as 1-point favorites in the first game of their title defense. Milwaukee opened as a 1-point underdog but has since been adjusted. Part of that reason may be the absence of Kyrie Irving, who is being held out by the team until he can be fully available.

According to data released by BetMGM on Tuesday morning, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. are getting 52% of bets but 67% of the money to cover the spread.

The total has also seen significant movement, opening as high as 240 but being bet down to 233.5 with 90% of all dollars wagered coming in on the under.

The night cap features Western Conference powers as the Lakers are 3.5-point favorites at home against the Warriors. Both teams battled injuries last season to finish with disappointing seasons by their standards.

Klay Thompson remains out as he recovers from a torn ACL, but Steph Curry is healthy and will look to carry the load against LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and the new-look Lakers.

The home team is getting 56% of the bets and 62% of the money Tuesday night.

Just like the Eastern Conference matchup earlier in the night, it's the under getting most of the action on the total. BetMGM says 67% of bets and 77% of total handle are on under 227, which is down from the opening number of 230.5.
