Knicks vs Cavaliers NBA Preview

This is a great spot for the Knicks to get above .500 for the first time this season — in theory — but the Cavs are coming off a terrific win over the 76ers last night.

In beating Philly 119-95 on Friday's NBA Cup game, you can convincingly argue that Cleveland put together its most complete effort of the season so far.

But they'll be at a rest disadvantage against the Knicks, who are in Cleveland on Saturday following two days off after their 135-105 romp over the Bulls.

Notably, this marks the first time these two lock horns since the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Knicks swept Cleveland en route to the NBA Finals and their eventual first title in 53 years.

Chances are, that's the trillionth time you've heard that by now, so we'll move on…

Let's talk injuries. Jarrett Allen (knee) and Jaylon Tyson (ankle) were held out of Cleveland's one-sided win over Philly, nursing what are expected to be short-term injuries. Tyson missed his fourth straight with an ankle sprain.

For the Knicks, Josh Hart (ankle) is slated to miss his second straight game, but Jose Alvarado (ankle) returned this week after a multi-game absence.

Knicks vs Cavaliers Pick, Betting Analysis

A little too obvious, isn't it? But the Knicks shouldn't be getting nearly five points here.

The Knicks have a two-day rest advantage against a team they've owned that might be down their starting center and an important role player?

I like the Knicks to win outright, so yeah, we're good with the 4.5 too.

Pick: Knicks -4.5 (-110)
