Wizards vs Hawks NBA Preview
The Wizards are mainly using a group of players who don't resemble their season-long splits.
So, we cannot model or compare the Wizards' totals to their early-season pace numbers, when they were in the top-five in pace until the All-Star break and top-seven the entire time.
This Washington team has regressed. The Wizards have slowed it down a little bit, and their efficiency has dropped.
On the Hawks' side, their defense has improved, but their offense has worsened since trading away Kristaps Porzingis and Trae Young.
They replaced them with CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert, and we have yet to see Jonathan Kuminga suit up.
Atlanta has become a more defensive team, with Onyeka Okongwu playing more minutes.
Also, Mouhamed Gueye is a very versatile defender. I've been really impressed with him.
Wizards vs Hawks Predictions, Betting Analysis
The Hawks' offense has changed with McCollum in terms of pace.
McCollum is iso-heavy and slow getting into sets. He gets to his spot, dribbles it down; a very different mentality than Young, who very much likes to push the pace.
So, I think the Hawks have become an Under team since the trade deadline, and the Wizards are also an Under team.
I believe we are still getting ahead of it before the market properly reflects these changes.
