Wizards vs Hornets NBA Preview

The Hornets covered yet again last night. They are now 6-1 against the spread with a rest disadvantage, which is better than everyone in the NBA aside from the 76ers, who are 8-0 in such spots.

This is the second of a back-to-back for Charlotte, as they travel from Cleveland back home.

The Wizards, who lost to the Spurs on Sunday, are an NBA-worst 5-22 and just 4-7 ATS with a rest advantage this year.

Injury-wise for Washington, Bilal Coulibaly (ankle) and Marvin Bagley (calf) are both questionable. Cam Whitmore (shoulder) is out.

For Charlotte, pay attention to the afternoon updates, because they might be late, given that they played last night.

But as of this writing, Ryan Kalbrenner (elbow) sat last night, and his status is to be determined. Mason Plumlee left Monday's game early due to groin soreness.

Collin Sexton (quad) and Grant Williams (knee) both sat out on Monday, and Sexton has been listed as doubtful for multiple games in a row.

LaMelo Ball (ankle) and or Brandon Miller (shoulder) are always candidates to sit out the second half of a back-to-back, as well as for general injury management reasons.

Wizards vs Hornets Prediction, Betting Analysis

Alex Sarr has scored 18-flat in two straight games since his return from injury. Still, my lean is for him to go over tonight.

The Wizards have played to seven overs in 11 games when having a rest advantage, and Sarr, who sat Sunday, could see an uptick from the 24 and 26 minutes he saw last week after coming back from a more than two-week absence.

This is more of a lean than a straight play.

Pick: Alex Sarr Over 18.5 Points (-120)
