Welcome to college football Week 3.
For the ninth straight season on our college football betting podcast, Big Bets on Campus, Collin Wilson and Stuckey pick their two favorite moneyline underdogs for each week's slate.
For Week 3 of the new season, they rolled with two underdogs: one with an 11:30 a.m. ET kickoff time and one with a late-night kick on the West Coast.
If you're feeling lucky, a parlay of both pups pays out at over 7-1 at the time of writing.
Let's dive into our college football moneyline underdogs for Week 3.

College Football Moneyline Underdogs for Week 3
Collin Wilson: Coastal Carolina ML +160 vs. Delaware

I’m taking Coastal Carolina over Delaware. I just want the Chants to give me a chance.
This Delaware team is off, and this is an 11:30 a.m. ET kickoff, which won’t do it any favors.
The Hens offense has been rough, ranking 131st in Havoc allowed and consistently struggling to protect quarterback Nick Minicucci.
Coastal, meanwhile, ranks seventh in creating a pass rush, so expect pressure and some tough spots for Delaware’s signal-caller.
On the other side, Coastal quarterback Deuce Bailey has already thrown for 576 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. Delaware’s pass coverage ranks just 97th, so the Chants can really attack here.
Those matchups lean heavily toward Coastal’s strengths. The Chants can attack the quarterback and force quick decisions on defense, while Bailey has a legitimate chance to light up this Hens secondary.
The market has this at Coastal -4, but I’d project it closer to -1. I’ll take Coastal Carolina on the moneyline.
Stuckey: San Jose State ML +205 vs. Fresno State

+6.5 -110 | 49.5 -115o / -105u | +205 |
I'm taking San Jose State; I make this number shorter against Fresno State.
I’m not running to the window to bet Fresno State just because quarterback Jayden Mandal looked good against Sacramento State, the worst team in all of FBS. For what it's worth, the Hornets also played with a backup quarterback.
That performance doesn’t suddenly erase questions. Just a week ago, Mandal went 7-of-17 for 77 yards and an interception against USC. Granted, the Trojans boast a much better defense, but it doesn't inspire a ton of confidence.
The Spartans have shown more juice than I expected coming into the year. I think they're live in this spot, so I'll back the Spartans.
