Loaded Friday college football slates are something we can get used to over here at Action Network.

Sure, there's just one Power Five matchup between two bottom-of-the-barrel Big Ten programs in Nebraska and Rutgers. But it's difficult not to get excited about four games, all with single-digit spreads.

Drama is all but guaranteed and bettors have already placed plenty of action on the four games.

Let's take a look at the most popular bets for Friday's college football slate.

Most Popular Friday College Football Bets

Nebraska vs. Rutgers

7 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1

There will be plenty of eyeballs on the lone Power Five tilt.

Nebraska, despite the rough start, sits in a tie for first in the Big Ten West. The Huskers are three-point visiting favorites at Rutgers.

The public is willing to lay the points on the road, as Nebraska is the most popular spread bet of the night: The club's getting 65% of the bets.

Houston vs. Memphis

7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2

Houston is just 2-3 but has lost two of those three games in overtime, and the other to college football's newest power, the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Cougars will try to right the ship tonight as 2.5-point road underdogs, but the public isn't buying it.

Bettors are backing the Tigers, with Memphis getting 57% of the spread bets.

The total is also getting a significant amount of action and most of that is coming in on the over. We've tracked a whopping 82% of the tickets on that direction.

UNLV vs. San Jose State

10:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network

This is an intriguing matchup between two Mountain West teams that are off to solid starts.

In what appears to be a down year in the conference, both programs still have a shot at the title.

But they'll need to win this game.

San Jose State has held steady as a 6.5-point favorite throughout the week. The lack of line movement is likely due to the split consensus on this game.

Current bets show tickets are at a 50-50 split in this game, which is extremely rare in college football.

Not even the public can get a good feel on this game.

Colorado State vs. Nevada

10:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1

Here's another interesting game for completely different reasons than San Jose State vs. UNLV.

Both of these teams are bottom-dwellers in the Mountain West. But there's an intriguing wrinkle: Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell's going up against a team he departed 10 months ago.

And the breakup wasn't pretty.

He left for a division rival and took some transfers with him, including quarterback Clay Millen.

The public is backing Nevada in a revenge spot. The Wolf Pack are getting 62% of the tickets.

The total has also been hit pretty hard. The over is catching 74% of the public bets.
