Jets vs. Chiefs
By Chris Prince
It's been a rough couple of weeks for Kenneth Walker III after a torrid start to the season, but those struggles came against quality run defenses (Seattle and Denver).
The Jets would not qualify as a good run defense, and this is a fantastic get-right spot for Walker.
The Chiefs are big home favorites, so it's a plus game environment for Walker to see a big dose of carries.
Walker already has four games of 100+ rushing yards this season, and three of those games came in similar spots as a home favorite.
Over their past six games, the Jets have allowed at least 95 rushing yards to every team they have faced, and four of those teams went over 130 rushing yards, including the Bears (232), Patriots (148), and Dolphins (156). Over that span, the Jets have given up 143 rushing yards per game.
I'm expecting a big bounce-back game from Walker, and I think he smashes this number.
Pick: Kenneth Walker Over 90.5 Rushing Yards (-114)Â
Rams vs. Commanders
By Brit Devine
Chig Okonkwo has gone over this line in his last three games and has the second-most routes run on the Commanders in that span (behind rookie Antonio Williams by just two routes). Okonkwo also has the most targets and most receptions on the team in that span.
It's becoming clear that Okonkwo is one of the focal points of the passing game with Terry McLaurin out.
The Rams have elite outside CB play, which funnels targets to the TE position as a result. They have allowed the fifth-most targets to the position this season.
Okonkwo also excels against Cover 4 coverages, which the Rams have deployed at one of the higher rates in the league.
This should be a trivial line for him to clear.
Pick: Chig Okonkwo Over 35.5 Receiving Yards (-114)Â
Broncos vs. Panthers
By Chris Prince
Jonah Coleman looks to have taken over the Broncos backfield. He returned to a big role after coming off the IR two weeks ago and then went on to play 66% of the snaps last week.
RJ Harvey is out of the picture for now (on injured reserve), and J.K. Dobbins logged just a 21% snap share last week.
Coleman has yet to log a massive share of carries, but he has been efficient, with an average of 4.47 yards per carry. The Broncos have also gone with a more run-heavy approach since head coach Sean Payton took over the playcalling.
Carolina has been one of the worst teams in the league against the run this season, allowing 140.7 rushing yards per game. The Panthers have given up the fifth-most rushing yards per game to running backs (115.6).
The Broncos are short 2.5-point favorites, and I think we see Coleman's role continue to grow moving forward, which puts this number in buy-low territory for me.
Pick: Jonah Coleman Over 55.5 Rushing Yards (-114)Â
Browns vs. Saints
With Deshaun Watson dealing with a concussion, Shedeur Sanders is getting the start for the Browns, which is a huge upgrade for Harold Fannin Jr.
Fannin is one of the only guys in the offense that Sanders has some familiarity with from last season. In the last five games of last season, Fannin scored four touchdowns with Sanders at QB.
The Saints are a plus-matchup for TEs and have been one of the worst pass defenses in the league this season.
Add in that this game is being played in a dome, and I have the true odds here around +200.
Pick: Harold Fannin Jr. Anytime TD (+230)Â
Cowboys vs. Colts
By Chris Prince
Javonte Williams is coming off a disappointing performance last week against Arizona, but his workload has been massive and he gets a great spot against the Colts.
The Cowboys are 5.5-point favorites and the Colts haven't shown much fight over the past few weeks after trading two of their better players (with more trades potentially coming).
One of those trades sent DeForest Buckner to the 49ers — he was the key cog in the middle of the Colts defense. In their first game without Buckner, the Colts gave up 183 rushing yards to the Jaguars.
The Colts have only held two opponents under 100 rushing yards, and neither of those teams (Houston and Tennessee) have been very good on the ground, outside of a recent Tony Pollard outburst.
Williams is seeing an elite workload, racking up a whopping 49 carries over his last two games alone, and he has at least 19 carries in four of his last six games.
On the season, the Colts have allowed 103.4 rushing yards per game to running backs.
While it's tough to trust Dallas, I'm expecting them to control this game against a tanking Colts squad.
If that's the case, Williams should be in for another busy day against a defense that hasn't shown any ability to stop the run.
Pick: Javonte Williams Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-114)Â
Giants vs. Eagles
The Giants have the seventh-lowest neutral pass rate in the league (55.9%). That number dropped to 47.7% in J.J. McCarthy's first start.
The Giants want to be a run-first offense and it's hard to imagine the Joe Milton-led Eagles forcing the Giants into a script that will require McCarthy to throw a lot.
Pick: J.J. McCarthy Under 29.5 Pass Attempts (-102)Â
Packers vs. Patriots
By Grant Neiffer
Matthew Golden gets far too much volume to be priced this high to score a TD.
Golden has seen a total of 14 red-zone targets this season and has scored in four of his last six games.
Even though he's managed to score four TDs this season, Golden has also dropped multiple passes in the red zone.
Golden is the clear go-to option for Jordan Love in scoring range. I have the true odds here around +160.
Pick: Matthew Golden Anytime TD (+180)Â
Cardinals vs. Seahawks
By Grant Neiffer
I know the matchup is tough, but these odds are too high.
Jacoby Brissett targeted Trey McBride a ton, and then Gardner Minshew targeted him a lot too in his short stint against the Cowboys last week. He even threw him a TD.
McBride has been great this season, and the volume has been great, too, with 85 targets (including 19 targets in the red zone).
McBride has scored in five of eight games, and even though this is likely going to be a low-scoring game, these odds are too high.
I have the true odds around +180.
