  • The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened Super Bowl 54 odds on Tuesday. The Rams are the early favorites at +600.
  • Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are at +700 with the other two conference championship teams -- the Saints (+800) and Patriots (+1000) -- close behind.
  • The worst odds belong to the Miami Dolphins (+30000), who are expected to rebuild next season as they eye a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Super Bowl 53 is still a few weeks out, but sportsbooks are already posting odds for Super Bowl 54 — as is tradition. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook dropped the odds on Tuesday afternoon, and all four teams still in the hunt are among the favorites for next season.

And while it's the Saints who are favored to win Super Bowl 53, it's their opponent that's all alone atop next season's list.

The other two remaining contenders led by young quarterbacks — the Rams and Chiefs —  are at +600 and +700, respectively. Their old-quarterback counterparts in this weekend's conference championships — the Saints and Patriots — are in the next rung back at +800 and +1000.

The Pats have opened at 10-1 or shorter every season this decade.

Though the Steelers have some roster unrest, they are one of five teams between 12-1 and 16-1 along with the Chargers, Bears, Vikings and Packers. Though Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Green Bay all missed the playoffs, with the Packers doing so quite easily, oddsmakers expect them to bounce back. Of course, the Packers will always have the potential if Aaron Rodgers is in town.

The Browns — who were among the worst teams on last January's Super Bowl 53 openers at 100-1 — are at 30-1 for 54. Not too shabby considering their recent history up to this season.

Speaking of last season's openers, here's the top handful of teams just for comparison's sake:

  • Patriots: +500
  • Steelers: +800
  • Eagles: +1000
  • Vikings: +1000
  • Packers: +1000
  • Saints: +1600
  • Falcons: +1600

Though they aren't from the same sportsbook, you can also compare these to the way-too-early edition of Super Bowl 54 openers from this past February, in which the Eagles were favored at +500.

Perhaps the team in a much worse situation since then is the Raiders, who opened at 30-1 last year but are now all the way down with the cellar dwellers at 100-1.

One team sits alone at the bottom, though, and that's the Dolphins at 300-1. They're reportedly moving on from Ryan Tannehill and could just grab a quarterback to tide them over for a season. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that they're prepared for a rebuilding year and are interested in the 2020 quarterback draft class.

Get ready for a long season, Dolphins fans.
