The Tigers have lost three in a row, blowing a 5-0 lead last night after relievers Drew Anderson and Will Vest allowed a combined five runs.
Lucky for them, they've got the perfect remedy on the mound, sending out the best pitcher in baseball, Tarik Skubal.
The back-to-back AL Cy Young winner was sharp in his season debut, allowing one unearned run on three hits with zero walks and six strikeouts in six innings.
The Tigers limited Skubal to 74 pitches in that game, as it was his first start of the year. But expect a larger workload this time around.
Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview
The Diamondbacks are on a two-game winning streak, looking to complete the sweep over the Tigers.
Leading the way is a red-hot offense that has combined for 16 runs on 19 hits.
Arizona will send out veteran righty Zac Gallen in this one. He struggled in his season debut against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in four innings.
However, that start could have been a lot better. Gallen had four scoreless innings before everything unraveled in the fifth, where he gave up four consecutive hits and a walk.

I'm riding with the Under in a game with Skubal on the mound.
We just saw Casey Mize shut down this D-Backs' lineup, going six innings and allowing only one earned run.
I also think that Gallen can turn in a quality outing at home here. The veteran righty almost had a strong start against the Dodgers, starting that game off with four scoreless innings before it fell apart in the fifth.
This game looks like a pitcher's duel.
It's also worth mentioning again that Skubal only went 74 pitches in his first outing. With the Tigers looking to snap a three-game losing streak, we could see him eclipse 90 pitches this time around. That means that it's not out of the question to see seven innings from Skubal in this start.
That would be good for the Under, as the Tigers' bullpen really struggled last night.
It's a low bar at 7.5 runs, but we can get -105 on the under with MLB's best pitcher on the mound, so I'll take my chances.
